Free interpretation: E3M6-UV, under Par with over 100% health!
Comments: I completed the three assigned levels without much difficulty.
They are long because I play cautiously. I was suprised to find that my
brother had claimed the title of "Speedy Gonzales", which I think is
FAR TOO EASY. The following changes would make it more reasonable:
#1 It should be done on Ultra-Violence, or even Nightmare, to make
it a little more difficult.
#2 You should be required to complete the level with AT LEAST 100%
health. Completing the level in less than perfect health is not that
impressive when you don't have to kill any monsters, just get to the end.
100% health means you are playing at a sustainable level (you could keep
playing indefinately).
In keeping with this belief, I completed E3M6 (A HARDEST Level!) UNDER
PAR and with OVER 100% HEALTH at the end. I also did it on ULTRA-VIOLENCE,
not some wimpy setting like "Hurt Me Plenty". This is my free interpretation.
I killed the sargeant first, did my dance, died in the lava, then restarted
the level so I could complete it on time. I have no doubt I could do it with
the -respawn parameter, but the fast monsters of "Nightmare" would make it
very difficult.
