Free interpretation: Ep.2 Lightning using ONLY Tyson weapons (except Cybr.)
Comments : As the base for D1GM is complete, and cannot be augmented
anymore, I had to use the Appeal Mechanism (see p. 6.6.2 of
Official rules), i.e., to exchange an unspecified out-of-base
level with ALL levels from the "hard" set EXCEPT assigned
one (E3M7) from that set. This resulted in pretty many LMPs.
E3M9 : Assigned as easy, but I don't see anything easy in it.
I tried to show one interesting variation at the beginning:
how to get the imps to attack (and eventually kill!) the
two cacodemons. Simple: the imps attack the cacos while
the cacos attack me. Dance is in the Cyberdemon lair.
E3M5 : A very easy level, gotta know well all teleporter paths.
E3M7 : I did this one as a part of my D1I exam, so I knew exactly
what to do. As usual, no need for bridges. Dance is at the
starting point after securing myself.
Substitution levels: I tried to put as much of my "style" in these
levels as I could. Here are some highlights:
E1M3: Getting "on the fly" into both secret alcoves.
E1M5: There's a stubborn barrel, doesn't want to explode!
E1M8: Never hurt; going for the final dark room completely fit:
100% armor, 200% health plus invisible.
E1M9: Jumping on the exit island, then back without bridge,
as well as walking over five pillars.
E3M6: Leaving via the secret exit: jumped inside without
rocketing myself.
Free : As a compensation for inability to expand the base, I
recorded this "Tyson Lightning". Ultra-Violence, nine
levels under par. Yes, I use only Tyson weapons,
except against the Cyberdemon. I COULD have killed him
with a pistol and some help from Lost Souls -- I did it
several times -- but it would have been totally boring
to watch. After all, I wanted ACTION lmp. With this run
I tried to show that Lightning is a very easy title, and
there was absolutely no reason to make it once only.
Even THIS run was easy. Hope you'll like it.
