Review                  : This is funny!
                         Comic styled medieval weapons.
                         And a knight replaces pinky.
===========================================================================
Primary purpose         : Fun
===========================================================================
Title                   : ZelDoom (splitted version)
Filename                : zellev.wad zelstuff.wad (former one ZELDOOM.WAD)
Note by the uploader    : This add-on was originally published as
ZelDoom.wad, that was intended to be merged into
the DooM2-IWAD via NWT. It was a demo of an
apparently abandoned TC. I found it at
archive.org in the backup of the homepage of
the creator. The email adresses in the textfile
are apparently dead. I insert them here just for
reference. The original ZelDoom.wad is here
converted into an IWAD- and sourceport-friendly
                         external PWAD-format, using the deutex-way. I
have split up the stuff into zellev.wad (the demo
level and it's assoziated data) and zelstuff.wad
(the stuff, that can be used with any other
doom-level). In that way the graphics from the
demo level do not harm any longer the appearance
of the original doom levels, when you play with
                         the new weapons and enemies.
Release date            : 09/29/97 MM/DD/YY
                         (Timestamp of the original ZelDoom.wad)
Author                  : Thomas and Denton
Email Address           : [email protected]  [email protected]
Other Files By Author   : Denton created the unofficial shotgun faq.
Misc. Author Info       : Denton is a 16-year-old student who absolutely
loves Doom and Zelda.  Thomas is pretty muchly
the same way, but he is 19 and is an excellent
                         artist!

Description             : zelstuff.wad
A sword for the chainsaw, a sling for the
pistol, magic hands for the shotgun(s), a comic
weapon for the plasma gun, a boxing glove for
the fist and a comic knight replaces the pink
demon. The status bar face is now a nice heart.
                         zellev.wad
A demo level with new graphics on the walls and
floors. There is no chaingun in it, so there is
no honest way to get it. Are you honest?

Additional Credits to   : Nintendo for making the Legend of Zelda

* What is included *

New levels              : 1 (The demo level zellev.wad)
Sounds                  : Yes
Music                   : Yes
Graphics                : Yes
Dehacked/BEX Patch      : No
Demos                   : No
Other                   : No
Other files required    : If you play with plain vanilla DooM,, you will
                         need Deusf (comes with deutex).
Users of advanced source ports can use this stuff
'out of the box', without preparation. Just type:
                         mysourceport.exe -file zelstuff.wad
                         or:
                         mysourceport.exe -file zelstuff.wad zellev.wad
                         and enjoy!
                         With plain vanilla, do this:
                         deusf -append zellstuff.wad
(If you do this with DooM, not DooM2, you will
                         get some warnings like:
'Warning: entry SHT2J0 might be ignored by DOOM.'
Ignore this, it's just the super shotgun
graphics, that can anyway only be used with
                         DooM2.)
                         then run it:
                         doom(2).exe -file zelstuff.wad
To play it with the demo level (makes only sense
with doom2), put the level and it's assoziated
data into zelstuff, wad, before executing the
                         above command.
                         Do that like this:
                         deusf -join zelstuff.wad zellev.wad
Note, that, whe you do this, the additional
graphics of the demo level will also appear in
the other levels of DooM, not only MAP01. But i
guess, you know for what reason it's always
recommended to make backups of your files, before
                         modifying them...

* Construction *

Base                    : Last note: if you have the game Zelda on your
Super Nintendo, compare the underground dungeon
at the very start of the adventure with the shape
of my Zeldoom level! I made it the same!
