THIS Patch, the DARK FORCES WEAPONS patch, should include the
following FILES:
Allguns.bat - Replaces all guns (x-cept chainsaw) with NEW guns in your
DOOM.WAD... Backup your DOOM.WAD IF you want to be safe..
It has been tested many times though. Creates a new DIR and
places ALL old weapons graphics in it.
Altwad.bat - Replaces all guns with NEW guns in an alternate WAD of your
choice... The wad has to have NEW graphics already (hopefully
monster graphics) for it to work. Sorry, it was the best I
could do. If it doesn't work, do ALLGUNS.BAT.
Pistol.bat - Replaces the pistol with a NEW pistol from DARK FORCES. Good
if you just want one gun replaced.
Macgun.bat - Replaces the chaingun with a NEW automatic rifle from DARK
FORCES.
Rockgun.bat - Replaces the rocket launcher with a NEW gun.
Plasgun.bat - Replaces the plasma gun with a NEW gun.
Bfggun.bat - Replaces the BFG with the old PLASMA gun with a TWIST.
Restore.bat - RESTORES ALL OLD GRAPHICS!! Be careful. The best thing to
do is run ALLGUNS, then run RESTORE, then run the other
programs depending on the guns you like. HELL, maybe you'll
like'em all and won't use this at all.
D.exe - DMGRAPH 1.1 (I renamed it to make it easier)
And a number of .gifs.....(NEW GRAPHICS)
1 EXTRA THING: A new shotgun icon will also be installed with ALLGUNS and
ALTWAD, but not with any single weapons. If you RESTORE, it
will be gone. If you want it back, simply type:
d shota0 -s shotgun.gif
HAVE FUN DOOMERS!!! If a DMGRAPH for DOOM2 comes out, I'll make a new
patch for it....
DO NOT MODIFY THIS PATCH IN ANY WAY!!!! If you feel like adding something
make a DFGUNS 1.1 or SOMETHING!!!
