Lois Lane where are you?

I would like to know if anyone noticed a possible trivia incident
during the television version of the movie SUPERMAN.  As  many of
you know, there were several scenes that were added to the  movie
when  it was put on television.  Several freinds and I thought we
noticed something interesting in one of the inserted scenes:

SCENE:  A small girl and her mother are riding a train  when  the
girl  looks  out  the window and sees a young boy (the adolescent
Superman) run past the train.  When the  girl  tells  her  mother
about  this,  the  mother doesn't believe her and says "Lois Lane
you have the imagination of a reporter".

QUESTION: Was the woman who played Lois's mother in  this  recent
scene  the  same  actress  who  played  Lois Lane in the Superman
television series that we all loved during the early sixties?

There are at least three people here in northern  California  who
think  that the answer is YES.  If anyone else shares our opinion
I would like to hear about it.  I  am  especially  interested  in
some  hard facts to support my hypothesis.  (For all you Grateful
Dead fans: a hypothesis is an opinion  that  you  are  trying  to
prove true.)
