Re: utcsrgv.318: Re: psi vs relativity vs quantum mechanics
One of the difficulties in interpreting quantum mechanics (including
the Copenhagan interpretation) is that quantum mechanical things
do not operate like macro-world things. In the daily world, we
learn extremely well that macro objects behave in certain ways, and
we then project these behaviors into micro worlds, where the behaviors
may not apply.

To reject the notion that a quantum mechanical event simply does not
exist before being measured clearly demonstrates the astonishing
pervasive nature of how we think about things. For many (including
myself), it is enormously difficult to think about a theorized
world where there literally is no physical reality without
observers. The fine line between mystisicm and physics appears to
draw closer every day, for those willing to suspend disbelief a little.
