Except for the Atlanta lab (they are a branch lab and I haven't heard
of anybody there) all the Bell Labs are in cold climates. It probably
snows less in Columbus than most other labs, but we get the white stuff
on the ground every once in a while here, too.
If you're looking for a telephone lab to work in that is in a warm climate,
while I can't advocate them or even tell you anything about them, note
that GTE has a lab in Phoenix and Bell Northern (that's the lab of the
Canadian Phone Company) is in Silicon Valley.
