Trip to Hawaii for $9.95

A Bell Labs employee was walking down the street when he saw in
the window of a travel agency this ad:
HAWAII round trip, $9.95!!!! Nine Dollars and Ninety-Five Cents!!!
Since this was just what he had been looking for, he went inside to inquire.
No sooner had he mentioned that he was interested in the $9.95 trip
to Hawaii than a rouge stepped up behind him and hit him over the head
with a blackjack...
A Tektronix employee was (later) walking down the same street, saw the same
ad, and also went in to inquire.
Again, no sooner had he expressed his desire about this $9.95 trip to
Hawaii than he too was hit over the head with a blackjack....
The Tektronix employee regained conciousness only to find that he was
chained to the oars of a slave galley and rowing vigorously out to
Hawaii. He turned to the man next to him, the Bell Labs employee, and
said, "Gee, after this trip I sure hope they fly us back." The Bell Labs
Employee replied, "They didn't the last time."
