To get the ball rolling...
The first brontosaurus ever discovered stands in the Peabody Museum
of Yale University. Back when I was a freshman, they celebrated the
100th (?) anniversary of the beast with a limerick contest.
I submitted the following two entries, scribbled on the back of a brown
paper bag. Not bad for a freshman. Can't understand why they didn't win....
* - * - * - * - * - * - * - *
At Yale there's a "bront" made of bone,
Which, when struck, sounds a musical tone.
When I stroked "the big femur",
I felt a great tremor --
I had found its errogenous zone!

At Yale there's a "bront" made of bone --
But don't touch its errogenous zone,
Because if you do,
You'll be flooded with goo
(That is, drowned in testosterone....) (!)

[ Incidentally, the winning limerick went something like this:
One day, a young brontosaurus
Said, "History's looming before us.
If we hide in some clay,
We'll be fossils one day,
And professors at Yale will adore us." ]
