humor of questionable taste
Damn it! Don't tell me what type of humor I can or can't enjoy.
If you don't like the show, change the channel.
I certainly agree that bad taste jokes should be separated from
the rest of the jokes, so that those who don't want to see them don't
have to. But if I want to tell or hear jokes about the hacking to bits
of innocent grandmothers, I'm an American and that should be my
prerogative. That goes for you Iceheads too. Uh, ahem.
how about net.jokes.q for questionable or queer... Q is one of the
most abused letters, it deserves to be the suffix for our poor taste
list. From now on, if you want to tell jokes about Jim Brady, poor people,
Jews, White people, Black people, tell 'em to net.jokes.q. If you don't
want to see 'em, just put !net.jokes.q in your subscription list.
(I dictate net.jokes.q, rather than ask for a consensus, because this
is a trivial point, and it isn't as easy as asking for a show of hands
on this snail network. Sorry to you guys who like to bicker about such
things, make your own suggestion and start your own nasty newsgroup.
