This is an oldy, but I wonder if it is new to anyone.
Mr. Interlocutor: Tell me, Mr. Bones, why do elephants paint their toenails red?
Mr. Bones: I don't know, why DO elephants paint their toenails red?
Mr. I: So they can hide in cherry trees!
Mr. B: I never seen an elephant in a cherry tree.
