Although the lines appear to be jagged and rasterlike, the display, as
I said before, IS VECTOR! The tube used has discrete lines, so lines
drawn have jogs, but it is a raster display. My previous reply was
"the straight poop," not conjecture. We indeed have seen info from
Atari about the insides of the machine.
The way they solved (pretty much) the problem of convergence was ... to
use a good tube!! The scope is a Sony trinatron, which has excellent
convergence.
