Origin of rogue, corrected

Someone earlier stated that the origin of rogue is ucb...I would like
to correct that notion.

Rogue was originally designed and written by Michael C. Toy at the
University of California, Santa Cruz.  It was originally a pdp-11
only game and had two distribution sites:  Santa Cruz and Cory Unix
at Berkeley.  Eventually, Michael joined the Arpa research group at
berkeley and brought rogue with him.  Rogue was then converted to
run on the vax with the help of Ken Arnold.  Eventually, rogue became
both Michael's and Ken's (roughly version 3.7).  Recently, Ken
rewrote rogue essentially from scratch....This is roughly version
5.2 (or so).......

Rogue has evolved since its earlier days (when I first saw it, there
were no fight routines, so when you bumped into a monster it printed
"Fight" on the top line)...

History lesson over...
