Dr. Who
Here are the answers to the various trivia questions about Dr. Who:

       1.      Name the actors who have played him.
                       William Hartnell        Original
                       Patrick Troughton       4th year.
                       Jon Pertwee             7th year.
                       Tom Baker               12th year.
                       Peter Davison           19th year.

       2.      When was Dr. who first broadcast?
                       Saturday 23 November 1963 at 5:00 pm.

       3.      What was the setting of the opening scene of the
               first episode?
A school in Shepherd's Bush, London, England.

       4.      Who were his first companions?
Susan Forman, Ian Chesterton, Barbara Wright.

       5.      Who wrote the second series (December 23 1963), what was
it called and what piece of Whodom did it introduce?
                       Terry Nation,
I'm still waiting for the name of the series,
                       the Daleks.

I'm still waiting to find out the Doctor's name.  Other outstanding
       questions are:
       -       what is Roman's full name?
       -       who played the longest running assistant and what was the
               name of the character?
       -       who played the second longest running assistant and what
was the name of the character?
       -       What does UNIT stand for.

One person has asked if there is a machine readable index for the
shows.  Does anyone know of one?

Several people asked if there was anywhere that sold Who stuff
such as buttons and tea-shirts.  Does anyone know of such a place.

For further information, I'm told that some issues of "Starlog"
magazine from last year (1981) have articles about previous
       incarnations of the Doctor.

       Thanks for your contributions.

       Mark Callow.
