Eighth Symposium on Operating Systems Principles
From: DPR at MIT-XX

ACM's Eighth Symposium on Operating Systems Principles (8SOSP)
will be held Dec. 14-16, 1981 at Asilomar Conference Grounds in
Pacific Grove (near Monterey), CA.  More details are available in
announcements distributed to ACM SIGOPS members (rather late due
to mailing delays), and in CACM 24,9 (Sept. 1981) p. 612.
THis has been a very good series of conferences for research-oriented
systems builders in the past, and should be good this time.

Since applications are due Oct. 30, you should be quick.

Sessions on: systems; verifying systems properties; remote data storage;
computer-computer communication; memory management; protection techniques
(using encryption, for example); Intel's operating system on a chip(432);
dist. systems; user-oriented systems.

Information about applications can be found in CACM--don't write to me
for that.
