What do I do with all of the buttons and levers everywhere?
In general, it's a good idea to press every button, pull every lever, etc.
that you see in the game. These items should all be marked on the automap,
and you should check the map to find them. Most buttons, etc. have an
immediate effect -- they'll close a nearby pit or open an adjacent door or do
something else fairly obvious. I will not make any comments about these
buttons in the hints; only buttons that don't have obvious effects or doors
that don't have an obvious way of being opened will be discussed. As you get
used to some other tricks of the game, I'll also cover puzzles more generally
-- and it's a good idea to try to do whatever you've done in the past to get
through sticky situations.

Where are all the maps?
Thanks to the automapping features of LANDS OF LORE, there isn't much of a
need for too many maps. When the automapping doesn't tell you about
something important, I'll mention it in a hint, or for the rare times when
you don't have access to your map book, the appropriate map will be available
in this UHS file.

Which character should I choose?
From what I can tell, it really doesn't make all that much difference. I
chose Conrad -- he seemed the most versatile -- and have based all of the
hints on him. But you should be able to use this file if you've selected
another character.
