NOTES
The events taking place in this adventure do not follow a strict order. For
this  reason,  the player is only given a detailed description of moves for
the  FIRST  day.  It  is  necessary  as a FIGHTER to build up your power by
fighting as many creatures and humanoids as possible.

Before  fighting Wizard Cobalt and entering the Brigand's Fortress you MUST
have a very high power.

The  best place to spend the night is Erana's Peace.If you sleep there your
health and stamina reach their top.

You  can get money by killing Goblins and Brigands and then searching their
bodies.  You  can  also  get large amounts of money by killing Centaurs and
Trolls and then selling their claws and beards to the Healer.

Note that Centaurs and Trolls only appear in the night and 'large' power is
needed in order to kill them.

Every  time  you  kill  a  Goblin  at  Goblin's  Lair, bear in mind that an
additional one will appear next time you fight them in this area.

Zombies appear at the Cemetery during the night so beware!

If you need stones from the ground, type: "GET ROCKS".

The sequential periods of the adventure day, as it elapses throughout the
game are as follows:

FIRST DAY

                              AS A FIGHTER

You start at Midday inside Spielburg Town, before the town's Sheriff.
(a)At Sheriff: ASK ABOUT BRIGANDS. ASK ABOUT HEROES. ASK ABOUT
  MERCHANT.
(b)At Adventurer's Guild Hall: READ BOOK. SIGN BOOK. LOOK AT BOARD.

    (1)Rewards for return of LOST RING. At Healers.
    (2)Reward  of 50 Gold Coins for the safe return
       of ELVA VON SPIELBURG.
    (3)Reward of 30 Gold Coins for the capture or
       death of Brigand's Warlock.
    (4)Reward of 60 Gold Coins and the title HERO OF
       THE REALM for the capture or death of Brigand's
       Lexder.
    (5)Spells components needed. Ask at Healer's.
    (6)Reward of 50 Gold Coins for the return of
       Baronet Barnard Von Spielburg.

(Now enter Baron's Castle)
Inside....................Enter Stables, answer: YES (you receive

With the Swordsman: LOOK MAN. TALK MAN. ASK ABOUT PRACTICE. GIVE
                   COIN. (or say YES). After the fight: REST (to
                   restore Stamina).

(j)At Centaur's Field: ASK ABOUT BRIGANDS. ASK ABOUT BRIGAND'S LEADER.

Return to the Town as SUNSET APPROACHES. Go to the Inn and enter it.
Walk to the table. You see Abdulla the Merchant. SIT. Sheema comes.
ASK ABOUT FOOD (3 Silvers). ASK ABOUT DRINK (1 Silver).
ORDER FOOD. EAT. GIVE SILVER TO ABDULLA. ASK ABOUT BRIGANDS. ASK
ABOUT BRIGANDS LEADER. ASK ABOUT BRIGANDS WARLOCK. ASK ABOUT
MINOTAUR. STAND.

Walk to Sharmeen. RENT ROOM.

                             END OF DAY ONE

GENERAL ORDER OF EVENTS FOR THE REST OF THE GAME

Go and practice throwing the knife at the target (South of City).
THROW KNIFE. GET KNIFE (until you attain 30 points).
Go outside Healers Hut. THROW ROCK AT NEST until you get the ring.
KNOCK DOOR. Inside.......GIVE RING TO HEALER (she gives you 6 Gold
coins and 2 Healing Potions).

Go to the Giant. ASK ABOUT BARGAIN. ASK ABOUT FRUITS.
Leave and go to the Town. At the Centaur Girl BUY FRUITS. BUY FRUITS.
BUY FRUITS. BUY FRUITS. BUY FRUITS. (50 small apples).
Return to the Giant and GIVE FRUITS. (He gives you a GLOWING GEM).

At the Fox: FREE FOX.

At Midday outside the Town's Gate you meet BRUNO (any Midday AFTER
Day One). LOOK MAN (BRUNO). ASK ABOUT INFORUTIONS. GIVE A SILVER.
GIVE A SILVER. ASK ABOUT BABA YAGA. GIVE TWO GOLDS. (He tells you the
password: "HUT OF BROWN, NOW SIT DOWN").

FIGHTING MONSTERS FOR THE FIRST TIME

KILLING GOBLIN (+1)......SEARCH BODY (you find money)
KILLING BRIGAND (+1).....SEARCH BODY (you find money)
KILLING SAURUS (+1)
KILLING SAURUS REX (+4)
KILLING TROLL (+4).......SEARCH BODY (you find money). GET BEARD.
KILLING CENTAUR (+4).....GET CLAWS.
KILLING MANTRAY (+2).

Before Baba Yaga's Hut: LOOK FENCE. LOOK SKULL. TALK TO SKULL.
                       ASK ABOUT DEAL. Answer YES. GIVE GEM.

NOTE: The Mandrake Root must be taken to the Witch before next
       morning arrives or you will die. Be sure to have at least
       100 Silvers in order to buy the UNDEAD UNGUENT which is
       necessary to get the root from the Cemetery at Midnight.

Inside Baba Yaga's Hut: say "HUT OF BROWN, NOW SIT DOWN". ENTER HUT.

The Witch, Baba Yaga, asks your name: Type in in!
                     asks if you are brave: YES!
                     asks if you will find for her the root of
                     mandrake: YES (you must get it at MIDNIGHT).

At Erana's Peace: LOOK STONE. READ STONE. READ RUNES. EAT FRUIT.
                 GET FLOWERS. GET FLOWERS. GET FLOWERS.
Here is the best place to SLEEP the night so as to restore all your
Health and Stamina.

At Fairy's Ring: GET MUSHROOM. GET MUSHROOM. GET MUSHROOM.

Inside Healers Hut: SELL FLOWERS. SELL FLOWERS. SELL FLOWERS.
                              (From Erana's Peace)
                   SELL MUSHROOMS. SELL MUSHROOMS. SELL MUSHROOMS.
                              (From Fairy's Ring)
                   SELL CLAWS (any time you kill one Centaur)
                   SELL BEARD (any time you kill a Troll)

When you see the Stag, follow it until you arrive at Dryad's area.
At Dryad's area answer YES. (He wants the SPICED SEED).

At the Spiced Seed area: THROW ROCK AT SEED until you catch it.
Return to the Dryad and GIVE SEED.
For the DISPEL POTION you need:
                             FLOWERS FROM ERANA
                             GREEN FUR
                             FAIRY DUST
                             FLYING WATER
                             MAGIC ACORN

(He drops an Acorn). GET ACORN.

At Meeps Lair: LOOK MEEPS. TALK TO MEEPS. ASK GREEN FUR. GET GREEN
              FUR.

At Waterfall: (With an empty flask) FILL FLASK (Flying water!).
             LOOK DOOR. THROW ROCK AT DOOR. CLIMB LADDER.
             KNOCK DOOR. Step to the right. Walk through door.
(Inside): (Herny the Hermit) ASK ABOUT WIZARD
                            ASK ABOUT BRIGANDS
                            ASK ABOUT BRIGANDS WARLOCK
                            ASK ABOUT MAGIC
Walk out and CLIMB LADDER.

Before Erasmus' Home: At Gargoyle: Answer the questions:

Enter and walk upstairs (Erana's Peace)

Before Erasmus: ASK ABOUT MAGIC.

At Fairy's Ring: In the middle of the night, carrying an empty flask.
                You see the Fairies dancing. Answer YES.
                ASK ABOUT FAIRY DUST. Now get the Fairy Dust.

At Healers: GIVE ACORN. GIVE FUR. GIVE WATER (from Waterfall).
           GIVE DUST.
           (You don't need to offer her another flower as you've
            done this beforehand).
           Leave and return after a while, getting the Dispel Potion.
           BUY UNDEAD UNGUENT for 100 Silvers.

At Cemetery in middle of the night: USE UNDEAD UNGUENT. GET ROOT.

Inside Baba Yaga's Hut, for the second time with the Mandrake Root:
           Answer YES and she takes it.

At the Ogre's Lair: Kill the Ogre. SEARCH BODY. BREAK LOCK (of chest).
                   (you find a lot of money)

Before the Bear: FEED BEAR. Restore your powers with Healing and
                Vigor potions.

Enter Kobold's Lair. FIGHT. KILL KOBOLD. GET KEY.

Outside: FREE BEAR. (It's the Baronet!!)

Return to the Baron's Castle.
Enter the Baron's Hall (The Baron gives you 50 Gold coins).
                      ASK ABOUT ELSA
                      ASK ABOUT YORICK

At the Store with 50 Gold coins: BUY ARMOUR (500 silvers)
                                (a new chain mail armour)

NOTE: Before entering the Brigand's Fortress you must have high
       powers [STRENGTH: about 100; HEALTH: about 90;
       STAMINA: about 90; WEAPON USE: about 90]. Must also have
       the DISPEL POTION and carry 3 HEALING potions and between
       2 and four VIGOR potions.

At the Brigands Fortress: When you see the Archers: RUN and move
                         to the log.
                         CLIMB ON LOG.

                         You have to kill THREE Brigands in a row.
                         As you kill them you are before the
                         Brigands Castle (you see the Minotaur)

                         You have a very short time before the
                         battle now, so: DRINK HEALING POTION
                                         DRINK VIGOR POTION

                         KILL THE MINOTAUR. SEARCH BODY (you find
                         50 Silvers).

Now walk near the Castle Gates and BREAK DOOR then enter the gates.
(You ae now inside the Brigands Castle).

You now enter a room with Four Doors (Figure 2)

As you enter CLOSE DOOR (you lock Door 1)

Move near the chair at Door 2 and PUSH CHAIR to block Door 2.
Now quickly walk to the candelabra and MOVE CANDELABRA to block this
route.
Run to the SOUTH side of the TABLE.
WAIT FOR THE GUARDS TO LEAVE THE NORTH SIDE OF THE TABLE. WHEN THEY
ARE AT THE LEFT SIDE INPUT: "CLIMB TABLE" (or "GET ROPE")

With a glorious leap you hit the Guards and close Door 3!!

Now walk over to Door 4 and OPEN DOOR.

You are now inside Brigands Warlocks room. DO NOT MOVE!!

(To leave this room you must open Door 7 at the TOP LEFT)




To do this walk the following route:
     Enter the Door 1 (you come out from the chute - Door 2)
     Walk SOUTH and enter Door 3. You are now on the window (Door 4)
     Here PULL CHAIN.
     Now enter the window again. You come out from Door 3.
     Walk NORTH to Door 5.
     It is open now and it's a real door!
     Enter Door 5. You come out from Door 6.

                          [SAVE YOUR POSITION]

     Door 7 is a double door - OPEN DOOR.
     The door shakes!
     Immediately enter Door 6 again and wait until the door falls
     down.
     Now come out again and OPEN DOOR.
     (You now enter the Brigand Leader's Room)

Walk to the Leader. As you see the screen with the Brigand Leader,
type: CAST DISPEL POTION. You now see the Princess Elva.

Walk over to the SOUTHWEST corner of the desk (as you face it).
GET HEALING POTION. GET MIRROR.
Now leave by the Secret Passage.

(You now find yourself on the Antwerp screen)

DRINK HEALING AND VIGOR POTIONS.

Re-enter the Secret Passage. Kill the Troll and get his BEARD.

Return to Baba Yaga's Hut, enter and HOLD MIRROR.

She casts a spell but you raise the mirror........the mirror reflects
the spell and Baba Yaga is now a frog!!

You return to the Baron's Castle.

                           YOU ARE A HERO!!!!
