Subject: Smiths Discography

Well, here is the most complete Smiths discography I have ever seen.
It is from the new book "Morrissey and Marr - The Severed Alliance -
The Definitive Story of The Smiths" by Johnny Rogan.  It was a 1992
release on Omnibus Press.  Check out the book, it is an authorized
biography complete with family photos of Johnny Marr and Morrissey.

EPs

On 25 May 1984, the New Musical Express issued a free EP (GIV 1)
featuring "What She Said."  At one point a live EP was rumoured for
realease featuring "Meat Is Murder", "Nowhere Fast", "What She
Said", "Strech Out And Wait", "William It Was Really Nothing", and
"Miserable Lie".  The tracks later appeared on various 7-inch and
12-inch B-sides.  A live version of "Girl Afraid" was also
available, by mail order only, on the NME Various Artistes
compilation Dapartment Of Enjoyment.

additional "This Charming Man" and "How Soon Is Now?", respectively.
Smiths tracks have been packaged differently in various countries
and there are a number of examples of edited tracks.  Alternate
tracks are less rare, but the Canadian Compilation Rough Trade (RTS
1986) features an otherwise unavailable live version of "Miserable
Lie" taken from the Opollo Theatre, Oxford concert of 18 March 1985.

Well, everyone, that is all I am willing to type.  The book
contains track listings for the boots he knew of at the time of
publication; there are pages of them.  It also has a listing of all
live shows that were recorded, and the song order played.  Let me
know if there is a certain boot you are interested in, I will look
it up, and get back to you.  Later, and enjoy.
