Welcome to the first on-line edition of Pure Bollocks. We hope to broadcast
more little bits of our diskmag at a regular rate, as opposed to our diskmag,
which has a lot of stuff, and takes forever to come out! I edit this one, but
EGB's Smelly Sox is still editing the diskmag edition, and I'm still adding to
the various bits in the menu and text displayer!
The first issue (#101) has been released on 1st December 1993. It's World
AIDS day, and the day after the UK Budget, where Kenneth Clarke (Ha ha ha)
the Chancellor of the Exchequer has cut 10% off next year's student loan,
thus hitting low-income students even harder. As I type this, there are
demonstrations taking place all over Glasgow University, with songs such
as:
(To the tune of "London Bridge is Falling Down")
Education is a right, is a right, is a right,
Education is a right, not a priveledge.
..And the more subtle variation....
Kenneth Clarke is a right, is a right, is a right,
Kenneth Clarke is a right, right-wing bastard.
