Our forums are now closed.

Because we have had too many instances of break-ins and
forum trashing, we regret to announce that we are
closing down our forums for the time being. The closure
is indefinite and we can offer no estimation as to
when, or if, they will come back up.

We simply cannot afford to continue pouring time,
effort and money into a project a few miscreants are
determined to trash by any means necessary.

We appreciate your understanding in these matters.

So this may very well be the last issue of Boulder News Frenzy and I know that
makes my 15-20 readers extrememly unhappy. Okay, maybe I'm underestimating the
size of our audience. I'm sure all the old BNF regulars check in from time to
time to see what they've been talking about and Jameson's sure to have all the
issues archived on her hard drive somewhere.

Anyway, here is the collection of posts leading up to the very end of the BNF.
Nobody knows exactly what happened to finally make the Daily Camera snap like
this but supposedly someone started spamming with a bunch of nazi propoganda
so that may have had something to do with it. After you read the posts, skip
down to the end of this issue for a few "legal" letters some of us have
received and some important URLs pointing to "new and improved" hangouts for
dead children stalkers and other miscellaneous crap.

It turns out that our friend RBCP is actually a
homosexual and the only reason that he married colleen
and had a kid is to appeal to his readers of PLA.
Colleen is being payed very nicely for this and I think
we should make all the PLA fans aware of this fact.
I've been emailing this information to the web masters
of all the PLA sites.

I was a little PLA kid for a long time. When I learned
rbcp killed people's pets I got out, but before that he
was always making passes at me. He wanted my body. He
makes it a rule not to hit on people under the age of
18. He sent me a lot of naked pictures of himself that
Colleen took. I guess he's not really homosexual but
bisexual, because he does have sex with colleen. Not
very often, but they do.

Those poor PLA. They aren't getting any credit for
cracking the secret code into HEAVEN. Windsor, Lori and

[I don't know if this was mentioned before in a previous issue,
but in 1993 or so, RBCP looted a 7-Eleven store, WAS CAUGHT and
went to jail for it which is explained on his page. For some
reason every BNFer in the world seems to think that the Wood
River, Illinois police are going to drive over to Ohio and
arrest him for a crime he's already been in jail for. ]

River Illinois police who seemed to be very interested
in our friend RBCP. They assured me that they would be

To Shift-If your goal originally was to help stop the

I know various posters here know how to detect the site that
generates these threads. Is it possible to post this
information so anyone who wants can help in detecting and
running down the site,making the phone calls to the ISP, etc. ?
If someone can post this, is it possible to keep the
information alive all day so enough posters can see it? I know,
for example, I will not be able to return to this site until
later this afternoon.

[A few simple lines of perl script would be able to tell these
clowns exactly where any post actually came from and we even
personally called up BNF's technical girl to explain to her how
to detect us but it apparently never happened. ]

Here's an off the wall concept for you. See what you think.

In order to better monitor/control info and theories regarding
JonBenet's murder, and to distract attention to it, someone
must have free reign not possible on a public forum.

A secret and private forum must be established for the posters
to have a place for "safe" discourse away from the spamming
and chaos.

If control is to be there, the place/site must be closed/
secret and those in attendance must accept and follow
guidelines. And it must appear an honor to be *accepted* to
the inner sanctum so that good people (lambs) willingly and
proudly go there. In the process of herding the sheep, the
destroyers (sheppards) will not reveal the plan or even its
concept for the sheep would not follow. And for it to work,
the sheep must *willingly* follow.

So, the sheppards set out to destroy, flame, spam and in
many ways make it unpleasant for the posters here. One by
one, the sheep (posters) here and on other boards leave
the flock until the new flock (forum) is formed with rules
and guidelines gradually imposed, a little at a time while
the lambs tell their secrets and become bonded to the
gatekeepers who, coincidentally happen to be the destroyers,
and the other lambs.

Trust must be established in order to control. By the time
anyone knows what happened it is too late to leave for each
lamb is personally vested one way or another having forged
friendships and trust.

This weekend we learned much. Read between the lines and
look to the leadership (sheppards). Some of the good people
who posted here were compromised for they let their egos
get in the way of logic.

Sadly, fearing ostracization from the Boulder flock, they
may turn to the destroyers for comfort and acceptance and
reorganization, as was intended.

Following up on Answer's response.

There are a few ways to TRY and find the offending web pages:

1) If any URL is supplied by the offenders, check it out, but
do it carefully. Maybe follow any links it has. Again, do it
carefully. Look for anything that seems clickable due to color
or that your mouse changes for, but for whom the URL does NOT
appear at the bottom. If the URL appears then it is a
hyperlink and clicking is not dangerous (this assumes you
have javascript disabled).

2) Check out a few of the PLA resources like their web BBS
since the last attack page's address was posted there.

3) Go to the two most utilized free web page providers
(geocities and tripod) and look around a little there. Use
their search engines to look for things, but remember that
they only update the database occasionally so anything new
won't show up.

4) Use general search engines like Infoseek or AltaVista to
look for the pages, or related sites like PLA/LogicBox/...
small chance, but after 1-3 is exhasted, what else is left.

As you can see, you can look, and maybe you will find
something, but maybe you won't, so good luck.

In Paul Krassner's autobiography ("Confessions of a
Raving, Unconfined Nut"), he relates a story about how
his magazine ("The Realist") used to sell a banner in
the the '60s that read "Fuck Communism."

A college student at a midwestern college held up the
banner for a class photo. At first the college
officials airbrushed out the word Fuck. Uh oh.
Then they airbrushed out the word Communism as well, so
that particular yearbook shows a guy holding up a blank
banner.

My message to thread starter: Fuck your Ammendment
rights. You and the Ramseys have a lot more in common
than you spoiled rotten whiners care to admit. No
wonder you like creating havoc here; the scum always

This is the real Another View. The one above is
borrowing my hat.

The people who take copyrighted images from here (or
USA Today, ...), modify them, then post them on their
own website are breaking the copyright laws. It isn't a
question of Free Speach, it is a question of "fair use"
(as defined in the copyright laws). To place something
on a web site has been declared by the courts to be
publishing, so placing other people's copyright
material on a web site is a definite no-no.

If you receive email from a Hotmail addressee.

Look at the originating IP address at the top. Look up
the DNS information on that number. To do this go to
www.internic.com or something like that. Then you will
have the name and location information for that
person's ISP. Call them which the time of the mail and
say you were winnuked on IRC by that IP address at that
time. They are required by law to give you the account
holder's name.

time to chase winnukes which are just harmless little

The ISP can a log of all connects to each IP address.
They simply need the time and IP address and they match
that to the unique identifying password each customer
has. Most ISPs have the log program accesible to their
customers on their company web pages for usage
tracking.

Call your ISP and ask them.

WinNuke is a program that uses an odd port number to do
something like a 'ping' so that it floods or overwhelms
the nework safe guards, and causes your PC to lock up,
or crash Windows '95.

The worst it could do was lose some of the purple prose
you were typing to your Sig. Other if you hadn't saved
your editor.

As I'm sure some of the above is a bit in error, soon
we'll have an expert jump on and tell us, for the first
rule of the Net is : to get the right answer, post one
that's close, and the nearest dweeb (like me) will tell

Now, are you the one who wrote that really long post
this past summer about how you and your friend, I think
his name was Chris, went across country after you left

Even though you did some illegal things, as I remember

they were disguised as me, I thought you really really

1. Sometimes people might say things are one way or
they might say they are different when you really think
about it. So, when I look at all the different aspects
of this, if you consider how it is, you might want to
say that rbcp and all the pla are right in the long
run, but you do have to look at it that way.

2. If I think about how they could be right, then one
thing that could certainly come to mind would be that
it would be possible for a person to say they were
sorry for all this and and that. This is not easy for
anyone, but if it is what you have to do because you
were really wrong in the first place, then you shuld do
it.

3. Now that we all see this, we have to consider what
to do next, maybe one thing, maybe another. I do think
they are great, the pla, and we should support them in
whatever they do because that's the kind of great

This thread proves beyond a reasonable doubt and to a
moral certainty that they are criminal in intent and
action. Their "boredom" brings about the trashing of

This thread may have been started by the PLA, but the
posters who soon took it over were not "criminals pure
and simple." They were the BNF regulars out to have a
little fun at nobody's expense. Also, it was one of the
few evening threads of late that was left pretty much
untouched by the usual spammers so that we could post.
I think it was very clever the way it metamorphasized
and shows one of the reasons many of us have stayed. In
no way were we condoning, pardoning or making light of
the trashing these PLA people do or the $ they cost us
doing it.

Just a mesaage from your friendly BDC webmaster here --
the real one that is.

We have been monitoring the forums very closely the
last few days because the number of complaints we have
been receiving from users has been increasing rapidly.

We here at the Camera do not actively "censor" any of
the posts but if you'll check the terms of agreement
you'll see that we can remove any posts we want for any
reason we deem fit.

When a discussion is spammed beyond belief with
obscenities it is easier for us to just remove the
threads altogether in the hopes that a more civil
discussion might resume.

It is indeed true that we will be implementing new
conferencing software that will require users to
register before they will be allowed to post. The new
software will also allow us to use filters to keep a
majority of the obscene postings out of the threads.

The new software will also be much faster and easier to
navigate around in.

We appreciate your patience and understanding in these
matters.

We cannot track who has been spamming and trashing the
forums because of the anonymous nature of this
application.

However, future implementations of the froum software
will allow us to do email verifications of user
registrations. No valid email address, and you can't
register.

Of course no system is full-proof but if we at least
make it really really hard for these miscreants, maybe
they'll lose interest and go on to spread their spam
elsewhere.

I find it interesting that Jams inquired if the BNF
could find out who had been doing all the spamming.
Maybe Jams was worried. Afraid of being revealed as a
spammer extraordinaire.

I hope that the repeated obscenities can be eliminated.
I am opposed to censorship of thoughts but that person
has not mind or thoughts and the merely repeat obscene
remarks is a nuisance.

I support what the BNF is doing.

It seems necessary.

However, that does not mean that all rudeness,
crudeness or just plain silliness will be removed. I
remember the very first few weeks of this forum, and
many of the posters who have railed against the
spammers were very inhospitable to anyone with new
ideas or to newcomers to the forum.

I also remember telling them that things could be much
worse than what they were seeing. At that time, a few
sarcastic remarks or off-color jokes had people
seething. They lived to see that obscene and stupid
posts could take over a forum and virtually destroy it.

I hope that all pompous and preachy people will be
grateful for the improvement and give everyone a chance
to voice their opinions without resorting to rude
remarks.

I'll agree with most of that and I'm no prude, but one
poster telling another to get effed and the like aren't
my idea of a discussion forum if that's what you mean
by 'off color'. It only takes one or two of those to
ruin a forum and discourage other posters. Same goes
for posters intolerant of another's ideas and opinions
to the point of ridicule.

This format is one of the things that keeps the posters
here instead of the other forums available.

There's just something nice about the blue and white,

The BNF is not going to do ANYTHING to clean up this
board! The Phone Losers of America know it and post

contribute to ANYTHING. The BNF webmaster is a LAMER
and the PLA knew it months ago. Samantha Stack alerted
Ryan Scott months ago after she found this forum. Poor

The BNF is full of shit. It is very easy for them to
log the IP of everyone who posts here just like when
they used to include the IPs in posts. It's a simple
line of script.

Second of all, they could have stopped all of the
problems a long time ago by temporarily banning the ISP
of the person posting for a week or so OR they could
send the IP log to the ISP's abuse department and
explain the situation to them. That's how I maintain
control on my own web board and it works fine.

The new format with it's "new security features" is not
going to work. If I want to post something, I'll post
it. The BNF's terms says I have that right. So there.

You are really going off the deep end the last few
days. The amount of time you seem to be spending
here is getting beyond weird.

There's no news on the case, so most of us are
just stopping by briefly. Occaisionally we get a
good thread going, but most of the time we don't
even care.

Most of what goes on here is you. By yourself.
Alone. Posting stuff that means nothing to
anybody. Do you really think the fact that you
started another stupid thread about ziggy or
something is having an impact on anyone?

What is it? Did you get flamed here once? Is this
a payback or something? What could possibly
motivate a person to do this? I am really
curious.

It's really getting pitiful.

Actually, I do think the person who is doing this now
is mentally ill.
Looking over the threads he or she has created, there
are real signs of a
person having an acute breakdown.

The person seems very obsessed with this forum and
certain posters. There
is a lot of disorganized thinking. And there is
delusional thinking too,
for example, the person creates threads and then
trashes them, as if these
messages meant something or carry some importance to
others.

In the past we've had typical teen type stuff, and some
clever stuff that
really did succeed in inconveniencing us. But this is
just sort of
irrational, disorganized and obsessive. Some paranoia
is also present.

The other stuff made me mad, but this just depresses me
because I can really see an isolated, pitiful person
behind it.

I tend to agree with the posters above. The way the
person is so persistent amazes me.
I do really think we might be getting into the area of
mental illness now. I think even
a very angry person would burn out after a little
while. It's like the person is

Yesterday I posted a thread, "Who's DAVID WHITE?"
I'm amazed how swiftly it has disappeared..very little
time for response. Could this have anything to do with
the trashing and scrolling? There are many teachers out
there who are more than just uncomfortable with the
mentioning of the D.White case, let alone with seeing
it in print on the net. It certainly is obvious by the
total lack of response from any of the BVSD teachers as

I used to lurk here a couple of months ago. I have been
offline for a while and just returned. What the hell is
happening here? This has been going on for a while, I
presume? Who is PLA? Are they responsible? Who is
queer? The PLA? Somebody has to tell me, this is too
good to miss!!Is the PLA one of those "it's ok to have
sex with kids" groups? Why would kids want to trash
this forum? Most of the people here are here because
they have seen the cruel things that adults sometimes
do to children. We want to see justice done and the
guilty ones fry. Why don't they go trash forums that
feature people that they actually have a gripe with?
Someone who goes against everything they believe would
be a more satisfying target, I would think. Someone
please send me a clue!

Everyone got tired fighting. A lot of people went over
to the forum at Joshua-7.com. Like Mrs. Brady and
Murphy and others. Jameson. I don't know the exact
address, but I type www.joshua-7.com from my browser
address window and I get there with a couple of clicks.
Joshua-7 only has a few offerings and the forum is, I
suppose, "better" than this one.

[And that's more or less it for the postings on the old BNF board.
The Daily Camera finally did upgrade to a new & improved web board
but it didn't take care of any of their problems as far as we
could see. The software would ask for an address but it never
confirmed it, meaning you could set up 1,000 accounts a day if you
wanted to. Maybe it just had better logging features.

The layout of the new board kind of sucked compared to the old
layout so alot of the regulars disappeared and/or quit posting
and alot of the spam died down, probably because of the same
reason. But several weeks later it more or less started over again
with everyone arguing and spam happening at the speed of light.
And then without warning BNF pulled the plug and replaced all
three web boards with the message you saw at the beginning of
this issue. The next day that message was replaced by this one: ]

obscene and indecent language off the web site. Not
only did the hackers who broke into the forum go far

Maybe the trashers were doing more than we were aware of.
Yes, the occasional inappropriate post got through, and I
take it some yesterday were pretty bad, but I'm a bit
surprised they would shut things down just because of
that. Nobody on the forum could complain if they only
cleaned up once a day; we've dealt with much worse at
times.

I have to wonder if their reference to security breaches
involve more than the access to posters' names that
occurred a week or so ago. Maybe the trashers were
attacking the system in more serious ways, causing the
whole thing to crash, or messing around with other parts
of the BoulderNews system.

Now that would be a better reason for closing shop.

Fly - I agree that there may have been problems we never
saw. I've often wondered why a small paper like the Daily
Camera had a website at all, much less forums. They had
very little advertsing, even on their front page. And if
they are getting hits from all over the country for the
JBR atuff, why would that induce a say a local law firm
or real estate agent to put ads there.

And most of us went in via the back door anyway. I'm sure
their whole web operation loses money.

I went and looked at kracked.com, which hosts the PLA
board. You wouldn't believe the junk they support. A guy
actually has a web page devoted to enemas there. This is

the PLA has chosen this site to attack just for fun or something to do.
Also, if you read their ZINE back issues, you will see tens, or hundreds of

phreaking, and harrassment. This group thinks it's fun to terrorize
innocent people and they regularly pick on helpless older or very young
victims. There are instructions on this board on how to perform illegal
phone activities and the members regularly admit to phreaking, and other
illegal phone related activities.

It is my intention to bring legal charges against the leader of the PLA,
webmaster of the PLA site, and their service provider. I am giving you the
benifit of notification so you will have a chance to remove yourself
legally from this group. The PLA has enough evidence posted on their
website to cause serious legal problems for themselves and anyone
providing internet service for them.

This group has moved their website 7 times recently, and that should tell
you something about the content. Kracked.com should cancel PLA accounts,
or be held liable for their illegal activities.

This is the email address of the leader of this hacker
group, RedBoxChiliPepper, who I'm told you are very aware
of. If there is any question as to whether or not this

their zine, please feel free to contact the webmaster of the
Boulder News Forum.

What can we do to ensure this problem on the Boulder News
Forum goes away? They post links to their home page which
runs under your domain. I am all for freedom of speech, and
I could care less if these guys want to trade phreaker codes
on their webpage. But when they deliberately attack an
innocent group with the intent of terror, then it's time to
stop them.

Please respond and let me know what you intend to do about
this problem, and I will forward your response to the
Cyberangels who are also helping to stop this terrorist

create another such page. The page is obviously in violation of the Policy

Jameson and Murphy love a good following. I can see it

Hugh, you are correct about forums closing with jameson's
presence. WOW, never thought of that before. Kind of like
typhoid jameson.

Jameson and Murphy are demanding that all posters wishing
to gain access into their private domain MUST fit the
criteria. Now remember all who are just dying to get it,
it is imperative that you must post a minimum of 5
serious posts to a reputable domain before your
application will be even considered for review. Once the
application is received, references will be researched
PRIOR to your 3 part interview phase (feel free to use me
as a reference). Now be patient. Murphy and Jameson know
what they are doing and remember the welfare of an entire
mountain is at snake, er rather, stake here. Just some
key words and phrases to remember for your interview,
well that is IF you make it that far (*wink).... Mention
that you are a big fan of the serpent (doesn�t matter if
it is a garden snake or an anaconda snake), ICQ fan
(Murph will just LOVE that!), roasted hickory nuts are
your favorite, oh and of course, you have to be an

I remember whem jameson called the F.B.I.(. in honor of
Patsy)and the agent he talked to names was
.......Jameson! That's what he said!
I also remember when jameson was guarding the IRC channel
and interviewing Rosee with Murphy right there, also
trying to get in.He never let them in. Man the battle
they fought. Such strange bedfellows they are now. Just
goes to show what desperation will do.

[Ah, and just to bring you up to speed - phanop and Cmdr.
Hunnybear actually did bring the smiley-face board down to
it's knees several times until they finally completely shut
it out to the public and put a password on the entire
thing.

Two days later (today) a massive attack occurred on PLA's
webboard in which some hillbilly from Georgia began to spam
the General Forum with 20 pages of text from some law site,
over and over and over. This was taken care of by the end of
the night (so we think anyway) when a domain ban was put on
acme-brain.com (the offending host).

Like I mentioned before, this will probably be the last issue
of BNF and it's been a hoot. Maybe in a year or so I'll write
a follow-up issue just to let anyone who cares know what the
final outcome of everything was. Thanks for reading! ]
