The scariest t-shirt I can think of is one w/a pic. of
Patsy chewing on a crucifix. Underneath we could have a
slogan saying something like: Would you want to meet
this woman in a dark alley?

Or, a pic of a large black queen of clubs card with
Patsy's face in place of the Queen's. (That really is a
great idea if you think about it.)

Or a pic of John and Patsy in bed with the blanket up
around their necks and the slogun, "The Family that
covers-up together stay out of jail together)"

Oh, here's my favorite, a pic. of Patsy behind bars,
tenderly stroking a heart shaped pillow of JB with a
bubble over her head that says, "What was I
thinking....?"

Some browsers, such as Netscape, allow you to look at
the document source. You can do this without activating
the page, by placing the view-source: in front of the
http, as in

view-source:http://members.tripod.com/~bnf_pla/

Doing it this way, I saw this jerk has files you can
download. Don't bother!!

This website allegedly established by a "regular," here
only offers three ZIPPED "archive files." Please be
advised that this is a favorite way for malicious
hackers to spread virus. It is REAL easy to embed viral
code in zipped files. Most of the viral programs are
around 2 Kilobytes in form, but will cause you a world
of trouble even if you have a good viral scanner. The
lastest viral programs are polymorphic, which means
that they change form when downloaded. This website out
of their favorite domain REEKS of trouble. Please don't
say that you were not WARNED here about downloading
those zipped "archives." Just a word to the wise here?

It sounds real fishy. As if anyone here needs to
download archived BNF files off on an external website
when they are all here. Zipped files? Nobody can tell
what is in them. Sounds like a classic "Trojan Horse"
situation. The PLA has once again under-estimated the
intelligence of the "regulars" here. ROTFLMAO!

to get you to download a virus inside a zipped file,
they would have also included the .TXT version on the
page? Just read it online and don't download it. How

We've totally destroyed PLA's regular web board and are
now working on their secret page. Please help, the URL

[The pla_members directory was actually a sort of hoax. People
who went to that page were forced to accept a cookie which
logged their IP address for the PLA to see. ]

As long as someone feels the pain for it, it's all
right by me. Do these do-gooders want the blame placed
on Teri and Windsor, who will ultimately suffer via
retaliation? That is, of course, until the light gets
shown on the real culprit (Denver is defineitely
responsible for something.) Point being...if Teri and
Windsor are responsible, they will get what they
deserve. If not, someone else will get what the culprit
deserves. If the culprit doesn't care that other people
are suffering for their wrongdoings....well they should
apply for the PLA.

My life had no meaning until the PLA came here to play
around. I couldn't understand how these people got
other peoples personal information so easily. Now I do.
It's not hard, it's not hard at all. In fact, my son
Jason (who is giving me enough trouble right now)
showed me exactly how easy it is to lure information
out of people. He just made his name Jason23 and
plainly asked Tannest all kinds of information about
herself. Then, much to my surprise, she replied with
what I'm assuming is complete honesty. The reason I
have to let this be clear here, is that she knows
exactly who she gave her information to, now. She
knows, I know, we all know what Tannest told my son. My
son, at that point, said the first thing to me that
made me very glad that he is gay (please don't try
getting to me with this one. I don't care that he's gay
and your opinion doesn't matter). He said, "mom, if I
weren't gay, I'd probably be pretty interested in this
lady." Leave it to my sweetheart, beautiful son to be
intruiged by Tannest. I myself agree that Tannest is an
exceptionally interesting and nice person...WHEN SHE
WANTS TO BE. Tannest, I wouldn't have to make these
fake posts from your children and your ex-father-in-law
if you could just be nice. Please try.

Boulder News can stop this. They choose not to. That is
a fact!

The trash threads are being posted by a program which
is running continuously. It is probably being run on an
ISP's machine or a business machine because it costs
too much to have a dedicated line open 24 hrs a day.

These are truly evil people doing this. And what they
need is to split their head open with a baseball bat.
Anyone have any addresses? If they are close enough to
me, I will personally visit them and make them regret
it on a very personal level.

I am a vicious fuckhead, and there is nothing that
satisfies me better than doing real physical harm to
bullies. I am in Ca. and I believe some of these
monsters also live there. Anyone have any names &
address?

I agree with Ann. Notifying servers of abuse if fine,
but retaliatory spamming usually has had little or no
effect.

Although the index is filled with spam, the only new
threads created since about 10 edt are these two by our
own forum members. Most of the spam was created fairly
early this morning. Apparently someone had to go to
school, or work.

I saw familiar names here and there in interesting
discussions. Birds of a feather, we are!

Did you guys read about the protest at Canaveral about
the Cassini Rocket?

'I Want To Grow, Not Glow" on one kid's sign.

From gray panther types to young ones. No trouble, just
peaceful arrests and releases.
In fact, one young guard opened the gate enough for the
old ones to get in, who who couldn't climb the fence. (
Hip replacements, etc)

Offered one his arm.

Brings back anti war demonstrations where longhaired
girls would put flowers in the gun barrels of the Natl
Guard. (But that was before Kent State)

I have a concern and want to know if any of you
computer literate folks out there can put my mind at
ease.

I visited a couple of the PLA sites after seeing the
URLs here just to see what they were about (I was smart
enough
not to do any of the stuff that generates threads
here).

However, I learned last night that some of their sites
may send "cookies". I figured out how to get rid of the
cookies,
but could they have gotten any personal info on me
while the cookies were on my system? And could this
happen to
others who've done the same?

There was a good post about a month ago by a poster
that called BN and actually spoke with one of the
editors about it. In short, here were the responses:

This forum was put up shortly after the BN got a
website, and its almost immediate attention made them
keep it, but ...

It generates no revenue for them since almost all the
visitors are from outside the Boulder area. Likewise,
the bad reputation it gives is limited to a small group
or people, again, mostly outside their sales area.

They have little manpower to devote to working on the
Forum, improving or cleaning.

There is some internal division there in terms of free
speech versus responsible use.

Basically, it is up and running in autonomous mode.
They don't have to spend any manpower unless they want
to fix something, and there is little incentive to do
so.

Houston,

Honestly, I'm just very pissed off, because this is a
larger issue here. These hoods are infringing on our
freedom of speech which is our basic constitutional
right. The federal government needs to take this up
because its a crime that crosses state/country
boundaries.

I believe the best thing that can be done, aside from
white knights with bad attitudes (like myself) taking
vigilante action, is to write to your congress person
(or maybe even harass them, so they get a taste of it)
and hope they create some laws so that these criminals
can be prosecuted.

There are harassment laws for ex-spouses etc., and
there needs to be an equivalent cyber law.

responsible for the technical aspects of the assault on
this forum is Ryan Scott, a senior at Fremont High
School in Sunnyvale, CA. Enjoy the bashing. The school

involved is a Samantha Stack in Bend, OR. Just a hop
and a skip from you. She works for Blue Chip

To Cookie Question: Cookies are written to your hard
drive, and allow the server that wrote them the ability
to know when you visited last, and where you visited at
that site. Nothing more. Use you Find feature on W95
and type in cookies to see what cookies are written to
your hard drive. You can delete the cookie file or you
also have the option of being alerted to cookie
activity. Cookies are no big deal, and the PLA is just
attempting to scare the non-technical people among us.

Sorry guys, but this time, the spam was one of my
sites. I made that site, and evidently they are so
excited that I make pages similiar to theirs that this
is their new spamming subject. I'm really sorry if this
interferes with your enjoyment of the BNF, I never
intended it to do
so. There is really no way I can stop trying to get the
PLAers to leave, even if that means that they are here
more often. You may go to the URL that's listed for
Gluegirl; there's no way that it will generate any more
posts here. It is simply a silly distortion of one of
the more active PLA members.

I do in fact have a lot of their adresses, but I don't
condone violence and if you were to do anything like
that, you would be in more trouble than they. It seems
by threatening violence you're just making yourself
look foolish.

A cookie (a very non-descript name for it I know.
Thanks MIT!) is a piece of infomation a web server
gives to your web browser. In the future, when your
browser gets another URL from the same server, or
others in the same domain if the cookie is generalized,
it will also send the cookie along.

The cookies original intent was to allow a server to
keep certain info about you, like for a web search
engine to know if you like long output format or just
summary. The server could keep the info itself, but
this would create a very large database. Also,
everytime a home user dials up, they normally have a
different "dynamically assigned" address, so there
would be no way to tell "you" from other users of the
same ISP. The solution - have your broswer keep the
info instead!

The problem: it allows people to be tracked a little.
Everytime your browser gets a URL from the same site,
that site can know which page you were accessing, and
link it to the cookie (though not YOU). It gets
interesting when sites start renting space to
advertising companies. Each image (which is what the ad
is) is a seperate URL. If a company has their ad on a
lot of sites, then that company can tell which of those
sites you have gone to, and when. Also, they can tell
which pages (which they have ads on) at those sites you
went to. It allows then to figure out info about you,
like what your interests are.

Can they reveal personal info? Other than interests
through aggregation, nothing more than they can without
cookies. They can already tell your IP address, and
from that normally your general geographic location
(this is where the size of your ISP can work in your
favor). They can tell what web browser you are using
(Netscape, IE, ...) and what version. They can also
tell what operating system your computer is using. And,
(most people don't know) they can also find out the URL
of the web page you were on just prior to going to
their site. They can find out all this without ever
sending a cookie!

Without exploiting flaws in the security of web
browsers, they cannot find out your Email address
(unless you tell them :) or your name.

To Info 101--

I have to disagree that we've--or some of us--have
ignored PLA since February, and that's what keeps the
fires going. I know that some among us really are
compelled to try to retaliate, and to each his own, but
I think that is playing right into their hands. If they
did not get any results--and I mean none whatsoever
other than seeing their threads here--it would soon get
boring and they'd look for other pastures. Part of the
fun (most of it actually) is getting people mad,
eavesdropping on us trying to figure out who they are,
etc.

Everytime someone posts something intended to be
detrimental to PLA, they retaliate somehow. It's a game
of one-upmanship that no one will ever really win. I
say let them ramble, but ignore, ignore . . . we've
never tried it and I'd like to see if it would work.

I do believe that they are just a bunch of teenagers
with a mean streak and enough computer knowledge to
stir up a ruckus. I don't think they are backed by the
Ramseys or any other of the wild stuff that's been
speculated here, they just thrive on seeing the damage
they can do and the thrill of doing it anonymously.

People like Teri only add to the problem. I still blame
the IRC regulars for starting all this.

Now, Tripod isn't taking down the spam sites in
response to the e-mail requests anymore...and as long
as Teri and her ilk continue to war with the PLA...they
will reciprocate.

Sad end to a once enjoyable bulletin board.

Thanks, 101 and Another View for the cookie info. I am
relieved!

I do agree with those who say to seriously ignore the
PLAers. We just keep it fun for them by fighting. I
hate what they have done but we have just been
inconvenienced for the most part. We are still able to
converse almost all the time.

Another View, thanks for a very clear explanation of
why BN has no incentive to fix the problem.
Unfortunately for us, it's all downside and no upside
for them (the proverbial, ubiquitous bottom line). I
have this crazy idea that maybe someone among us from
Boulder (Steven? Starfish?) could find out from BN what
it would take for them to put a troubleshooter on the
problem for a while--even if they have to hire someone
temporarily specifically for the job. If it took $, I
would donate as I am sure others would. How long could
it take this "agent" to crack the code? How much could
it cost? Anyone? A ballpark figure?

If they had been ignored from the start they would not
be here. End of story.

Teri first kept them around by coddling and befriending
them and causing the break up of many friendships by
going over to Dalnet to be with *them*. She then found
out they weren't very nice people and decided to
*defeat* them. The ones who are now paying the price
are us, the BNF regulars, who never wanted any part of
Teri and her IRC wars to begin with.

Take a look at the web page she so proudly admits to
making, *to give them a taste of their own medicine*.
She evidently needs some medicine herself, one that
needs to be prescribed by a physician.

Terminator, forgot to say that writing Washington is a
good idea, and we should do it. But we also need a
second plan, hopefully one that can produce quicker
results.

I am willing to ignore, but it will be difficult to get
everybody to do this. In a group as diversified as
ours, there will always be a few--just enough--who find
it difficult to keep silent while being "pushed
around." And unfortunately, it takes only a few to keep
the spammers motivated.

What you mention did not happen until very recently--my
befriending them and extracting their personal
information. There were others that kept the PLA here
long before I started (with the Detective X posts). My
only intention was to make them leave! Please don't be
upset with me, it was the only thing I could think of
to do.

I don't really care if they know what I'm telling them.
It's no secret to them that I'm the one retaliating
against them, they've known ever since I first
displayed their personal info. I was the only one that
asked them the questions that derived the answers that
I've posted. I welcome them to read this post, threaten
themselves violently...whatever they feel inclined to
do. As long as they know someone is fighting against
them, my quest is accomplished. I will not stop. I will
never let this die until they are gone or in jail. I
know the pages I made about them weren't very clever in
real life terms, but they were hilariously funny (as
many emails I've received have proved) and hopefully
the PLA can feel somewhat like we do when they make
fake pages about people. Obviously this is not true in
the GlueGirl case, as she seems starved for attention
and feels the need to repost her "new" web page all
over this board. However, I believe that Callingcard
and Tannest aren't so happy about their pages. There is
no mention of them anywhere. Stay tuned for my greatest

What I can't understand, is why these people (PLA) are
even interested in this forum. How can messing the
threads up for a group that want to discuss the
JonBenet case, be so much fun, that they are after it
day and night?

I can see kids getting an occasional kick out of
disrupting any forum_but to be after it so agressively,
doesn't make much sense. Unless, there is a strong
desire to have this forum closed down. I wonder what is
behind months of this kind of behavior? I know this may
sound hokie, but could someone connected with the
Ramseys be behind this? I would have to think,
considering the kind of business their in, that they
would know of people that could do this kind of damage
without much problem.

Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but it doesn't seem
reasonable that kids would continue this for so long.

problem. I've seen some pretty nutty stuff posted here
already, so join the crowd.

BTW: Tripod just took down the J/P, MissMolly and
Flower spam thread generator. Another nice e-mail reply
from them, but I'm giving up the fight to remove their
web sites. These kids have more time to devote to this
than I do and the recent posts here aren't worth saving
anyhow, IMO. I've known for a while that some of our
'regular' posters take great joy in the current state
of this board and they'll perpetuate this nonsense even
when the PLA'rs get tired and quit.

I think the trashers are having a great time starting
troll threads, like this one. They love to read what we
write about them. They could easily destroy the
individual threads if they wanted to.

They prefer to read them and pick out really dumb posts
or dumb responses to their troll posts.

Some people here continually fall for this. Some people
swear and yell and lose their tempers, and sometime
even threaten them. Others have involved theories about
how the Rams are paying them. They collect all his,
just like they do the recordings of their stupid prank
phone calls.

Threads tht just discuss the case in an intelligent
way, and ignore the trolls usually do alright. But just
look at some of the recent night shift threads to see
what I mean about the trolls.

posters and between regular posters and the spammers.
The discussion centered about what, if anything, could
be done to stop the trashing. Your position was that
nothing could be done. You are probably right. You
certainly have the upper hand. You even went so far as
to say what is going on is our fault. (That we posters
shouldn't fancy ourselves as amateur detectives because
that agitates you.) Well guess what. You are dead
wrong. No matter how you rationalize, this is not our
fault. It is yours. And yours alone. I don't care if
you are students, tramps, crooks or respected
businessmen and women, you are truly nothing more than
bullies. Is that why you are here? Does the havoc you
wreck keep you in good standing with your friends? Keep
you feeling in control? Important? Powerful? Well,
congratulations. You have proved successful at pushing
around people who, by your own words, are defenseless
to your actions. Big deal.

We, too, know why we are here on this "sorry" forum (as
one of you said). We are here to try and keep alive a
case where a little child never had a chance to make
something of her life. You, on the other hand, have a
chance she will never get, and what are you doing with
the chance you have?

Your behavior is truly disgusting. Does that mean you,
too, are disgusting? Don't know. If there is anything
good within you, perhaps you'll do something that,
while it may not bring you recognition, may not garner
you attention, may not keep the admiration of adoring
friends(?), may not be as much fun as you are having
now, just may bring you a different kind of
payback--the kind that, over time, may be more
meaningful and pleasurable than the payback you are
receiving now. Why not just leave. Quietly, go away.
You will not have lost the battle. You will have won
something far more important. Try it. Even if only for
a while. You can always come back--and no doubt you
will if you miss us terribly. There are a lot of people
in the world who need help. Find them. With all the
new-found spare time you will have, help them. Leave us
alone to try to find justice for this child however we
can. It is the least we can do. It is the least you can

them.

Logic Box and his friends once tortured and killed a
dog and video taped it. They thought it was hilarious.
This guy is really a horrible person.

RBCP and Colleen Card call old people and tell them
their sone or daughter has been killed in an accident
and record the reaction. They think this is funny. They
think they are intelligent because they can fool
people.

This is the kind of person who is trashing this forum.
I know because I used to be one of them. When I found
out about the dog, I quit. They are people who have
been picked on all their lives and will always be. They
try to get back at people who cannot hurt them.

That's a great letter - it will probably fall on deaf
ears but you never know.
It's a case of projection - their assumptions about us
are based on their own lives. So to them we're bored,
mean, unhappy, etc.
It's not as if we are going to fall apart or give up
the rich lives we lead because they are cranky and full
of spite! At heart, they know it and we know it.
The people who write with compassion and sensitivity
aren't going to stop being that way because someone
said something nasty. (If you ever saw the movie "Cold
Comfort Farm" you'll remember
the hilarious rejoinder that was finally made to the
fearful old lady who was traumatized by seeing
"something nasty".) The people who are hung up on
destroying this forum need to get over themselves.

is nothing satisfying in torturing animals, nor is

people. Satisfaction is derived from confusion and
anger, not sadness and misery. I took your letter very
seriously. I understand your interest in this forum.
There are not many others like you, however. The people
that keep me here are the people that react as

It matters not whether it is the real trasher(s)
posting here or not. I happen to think some of them
very well may be a players in this cruel situation.
What matters is that the real trashers will read this,
and their reasons for trashing cannot be any more
substantive or less absurd than those offered here.

This is my last hatless post. I will go back to using
one hat and one hat only after this.

I do want to say.... It appears the PLA have decided to
let us alone now. I am asking the group of women that
have taken it upon themselves to fight this war, to
stop NOW. Please give the rest of us the chance to once
again enjoy this forum. If you feel the need to
continue this gang mentality warfare then please do so
on the MIRC where it belongs. Or through private email,
anything, just keep it off these threads.

You evidently know how to contact the PLA members
involved, at their homes, schools, employment, etc. You
have proven to everyone here your incredible skill in
"cybersleuthing". Perhaps your efforts are what finally
got them to stop and if so I thank you, but it is time
to end it on this forum.

I hope you can understand this isn't meant to incite
you or to invite flames. I am merely trying to give
back the forum to the innocent people who chose never
to become involved with the ruckus, those of us who
want nothing but to see justice for JonBenet.

timing may not be. Things are quiet now. Yesterday,
there was dialogue going on between the trashers and
us. Someone here managed to get through to someone
there. Someone there agreed to back off. Please, give
it a break. Do not do anything to cause things to flare

I would just like to point out that 1. There are no
"detectives" here, most of the information dug up can
be found in the PLA zines on their webpage
(http://www.phonelosers.org), any thing else has been
posted here by someone who thinks they know these
people. I am great friends of RBCP and understand his
situation. He is not the one posting this information,
it is these brainless followers that think PLA is
heaven and RB is god.

The best thing is to shut this forum down and forget it
ever existed. The spamming war will never stop. I would
recommend setting up a private mailing list for the
regulars here and using that.

If these "brainless followers" think RB is great, can't
he put an end to it or at least diminish the intensity
and frequency? Or is he condoning/encouraging it? I
honestly believe that someone yesterday agreed to stop.
And the threads today would indicate that he was for
real and that his actions made a difference. I am not
so naive to think he, alone, could offer a permanent
solution. But every little bit helps.

They're back. Same time they arrived yesterday. Sure
one may drop out here, but another picks up.

They will never leave. People trying to understand why
miss the whole point. It's entertaining for them to
come here, that's all. They love to disrupt us and then
see the stupid things we say. They get a good laugh out
of it when we think the Ramseys are doing it, or
someone thinks she has reasoned with them and talked
them out of it.

There are lulls when they re group or sleep. That's
all.

This will stop when BNF stops it. The people who find
their sites and shut them down have done a great job,
but it only helps temporarily.

They are teenagers. We are grownups. Reason will not be
a factor.

I can just speculate why somebody wants to make PLA
responsible for all spam here. It's easy to imagine
that adolescent hakers use to trash here from time to
time but as a matter of fact this forum must look very
boring and therefore it can't keep kid's attention for
a long time. By now all information about them is well
known, so, if THEY were the trashers, our brave
detectives could easily keep them occupied by trashing
their own mailboxes and websites as well as politely
informing their parents/schools/companies about such an
indecent behavior. Since it's not the case I presume
that PLA has rather little or not at all to do with our
problems.

Why do you think that they should take it to mIRC? And
if you are going to direct them around, wouldn't it be
wiser to use the proper terminology?

You meant to send them to irc. IRC = Internet Relay
Chat. mIRC is just one of the many softwares available
to do participates in the chats. IRC is a very useful
internet tool. Even some of the major news networks
have servers set up for irc so that they may draw
audiences into discussions of the topics that they
choose.

For example, MSNBC uses irc for several of their
programs so that those in the channel can participate
with the program on tv while its in progress. They
often have a discussion on JonBenet (which is why we
have all come here.)

Oh well, I've given you enough information to start
with. Now, go learn how to use the internet and learn
the language.

This is for the most part true. I found out about the
BNF from the PLA zine, but I've never really talked to
RBCP in my life. I don't like to be labeled a follower,
but go ahead, I guess I am a follower.

I won't post here again, because of the *** poster.
that was all I needed. I will have to monitor the forum
for Teri's detective x posts. If she decides she's got
something to say about us, I will decide to return. I
can't speak for the other trashers, but I can try to
persuade them that this place is boring.

What an intentensely bad attitude you have. I am quite
aware that MIRC is a software program, just got into
the habit of calling IRC, MIRC. I noticed yesterday
that Rutnie called it the same thing.

Don't worry, I have spoken with Ruthie, Teri, Wendy,
Connie, the others and even yourself many times. I
watched this whole mess start from the beginning. Teri
(COLady) has been in a constant state of trying to
cause dissention, ever since the day of the big meeting
in #cybersleuths when YOU (LisaMarie) told Windsor to
take a flying leap.

Teri didn't like some of the regulars in #cybersleuths
on Newnet and thought that by befriending the jerks on
Dalnet she could take over control of the IRC channels.
She soon found out that Tannest and her teenie weenie
boy toys were nothing but snakes and then ever since
has been trying to worm her way back in with the inner
core group of regulars. Some are fooled by her but some
of us know her for the real bitch she is.

This thread is so full of trolls it's probably
worthless to post here. But I can't believe anyone
would support the teenagers who are trashing us.

I think there are some trolls who are old disgruntled
posters from here. I know who one is for sure.

But the spam threads making and thread destroying has
been done by brainless adolescents. And the reason
things are quiet now is that the thread creating pages
got taken down thanks to people who try to find them
and call the ISP's.

If you want to imagine that the spam happens because we
are getting close to solving the case, I can't stop
you. If you feel sorry that the poor little helpless
teens are getting blamed for something the nefarious
Ramsys are doing, fine. believe it.

Could it be that the thread generating web sites are
being located and removed subsequent to complaints to
the domain by those unfortunate people whose names,
addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers are being
published by the PLA on the same pornographic web sites
that generate the threads here? I know I certainly
would complain if the PLA placed my name on the net on
a pornographic site. Food for thought.....
