FISHBONE
Los Angeles, CA

You know who these guys are, and you also  know that they only
have one real
ska album.  It is, of course, their first, and it's  great.  I
don't think I need review their other  albums here, but they
are all good for what  they are, bar GIVE A MONKEY A BRAIN...
As for their self-entitled first album, it before  its time.
Officially an EP, this six song CD is  a masterpiece.  I never
seem to get bored of  it, and, to me, it represents the
Eighties.

As for their live show, I've seen them a couple  of times.
I've walked away with war injuries  at almost every show.
Still, it was always  worth it.  The things Angelo Moore does
on  stage is amazing.  It really makes you want to  get
involved in the show, and often acquire  the scars you can call
your own.

I must admit that what has become of
Fishbone often scares ska fans.  I think they  associate
financial success with the downfall  of the band.  In this
case, I would have to  agree, but it doesn't mean success holds
the  same for every band.

CD: FISHBONE **** (Columbia, pick it up
anywhere) $10
