c2. The midnight howl
Nothing is as it first seems.
First you're promised all his dreams,
Then it's the yearladen midnight howl
And the corridors forever echo
With your screams . . .
I have little use for hanging around.
The call of whips and chains
Don't make the same sound.
I can hear the bells a-ringing
Satan's reeling angels singing
For the hard-earned emotional feedback
They were bringing.
I spent a long time loving you,
'Felt the fire within my veins.
Now I have to get over you,
Another lost little rock and roll queen.
You know that the devil is on your side,
Hypocrisy won't stay your stride.
Move forward, forever onward,
Rock and roll will never die.
It is just about time your little world has come undone.
Welcome it as a sign of aetherworldy ruin to come.
Now there isn't much left to talk about,
Barely time left for us to scream and shout.
The crowd around you isn't there to cheer you
'Cause you are the one that led them here . . .
