Whilst sailing, among and upon the briny surf,
Transiting o'er the fathoms deep
I ponder of such a wayward loveborn sight
Of beauty that was named after thee.

A calm loneliness of the restless ocean
Involves me in thoughts of you, of amor
'Would that I could return today to portray
To you my undying doting enamor.

The multiples of fluid veins
Cut a sculpturesque image of you
That which within a poet's mind feigns
Sparks again as a Philtre anew.

There conjures a haunting melody throughout the night
A similar, though different, breathtaking beauty of the sea;
Stars abound with luminescent foam all around
The visage of which somwhow reminds me of thee.
