c2.  Both of us fools

Li'l jewel of unadorned fire,
You're walking in circles and losing your way.
Li'l jewel of fallow desire,
You listen to no-one, you have nothing to say.
L'il jewel of unornamented fire,
'Don't know where you're going, ain't it a shame?
Li'l jewel of idle desire
All for the sake of the free money game!

If it's all the same to you
I will pursue my own jelled course.
Set for myself a few new rules
Find from within a li'l bit of new force.
Some things might never change,
Both of us fools.
Woe to that common ghost
Out walking the streets,
A common goal,
Much more than we need,
Far beyond our means.

Come and whisper in my ear
Say the words I long to hear.
Your impossible words
Infuse malady in my mind.
I must have been enthralled
To ever think you could be mine.
