To live or die
Seems to be
The question:
Is there a choice,
Or is it predestined:
A vague shadow
Having been written
Before us
By a moving hand
Of Fate?
And is it to live or die
That grasps us,
Or is it our fear
Of never-ending nothingness
That clutches at our throats
And begs for answers?
To live or die?
We do not decide:
We only obey
The Forever Way.

Creative/Destructive
Dwelling deep down inside
Hold tight the light
Against the endless night...

Shadows
Shadows know
What hides in corners;
Shadows see
Where strangers flee;
Shadows say
Why whispers stay.
Shadows show
A simple wisdom
Written invisible
On a dark wind,
Shadows glow
On midnight windows.
Shadows, shadows
Vague, undefined
But told by grand design.
Shadow darkness
My Soul...
Death comes
To us all.

Revelation
I lifted the veil
Of ignorance
Just long enough
To know
That which I
Did not want
To know.

Wisdom
Propped in bed,
A fat pillow behind my head,
I looked out the window.
A flat red-brick wall
Greeted me with an
Unresponding coldness.
My need for sunshine
On a gray hospital day
Was a promise I held
Sacred in my heart --
The pain of today
Is the wisdom of tomorrow.
I smiled at the wall,
It didn't upset me at all.

Ode To Chaos
I sat transfixed, watching
What Genius had fostered,
The ultimate minds of men
Scientific research/speculation,
Trying to solve the riddle
Of creation --
Their efforts fevered,
But tempered by equations,
Cool and calculated,
Going backward in TIME
Tracing the origin
Of ENERGY
Hoping to understand
Mankind's beginnings.
Finding at the advent
Of the BIG BANG
An explosion of ENERGY
Without an explanation;
Why there exists something
Instead of nothing,
LIGHT instead of DARK.
But the TRUTH
Of creation
Is Thus:
Out of circular perfection,
Out of the absolute darkness
Of NOTHING,
There flared a faint glimmer
A nano-second of imperfection
That bounced around
Inside the black emptiness,
And wrought havoc,
Commencing chaotic churning
That grew into a fury
Of expansion and frenzied
Movement, a spark ignited
And the explosion of brightness
Blasted out of symmetrical perfection,
Illuminating the cosmos with creation.
Thus, chaos gave birth to us,
Imperfection is our universal foundation,
And the end will come when darkness
Claims us again into dead perfection.
