[Although I have few of these now, I plan to add
more in time -- feel free to read/save if you wish.]
PEOPLE
Some people are like fast, flashy cars
Zooming and varooming,
Racing their motors,
And speeding recklessly through life.
Some people are like huge, heavy tugboats
Slow and plodding,
And dragging a big load through life.
But the happiest people by far
Are like the colorful free balloons
Floating and gliding,
Forever dreaming serenely,
Enjoying the ups and downs of life
Often content to drift through the wonder
Of an ever-changing kaleidoscope.
DREAMS
One night in the sky above,
Upon a black curtain,
I saw a light, a twinkle.
First, I thought, a distant star,
So very, very far away,
Beyond reach, beyond me.
But finally I realized, to my surprise,
The flicker of light was an airplane...
Some human's grand invention,
A dream realized as transportation.
Isn't that how it is with a dream?
More than what it first seems:
Grand, illusive, high-flying
But always possible if believed.
HE WHO KNEW
He came from dark of midnight
And He walked on shimmering light
Of love, hope and dreams.
He was above mortal lostness
And He spoke a strange creed
A Being of rare splendor indeed.
He said we should all care
And told of sadness with a tear
Yet held hope for a rainbow.
A noise heard soft
Gave Him his birth
And He never knew hatred
For it crossed a crooked path.
He was the One, they say,
Who came to save the day.
He was the Savior
And He was bathed
In brilliance from above
Divine Love
Though His days here
Were few.
He left us this
In beautiful verse:
The Foreverness
Of the New Testament.
