RZ "SIMPLE CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES" "Easy-to-make candies with chocolate and creamcheese"
Here's a good recipe for lazy chocolate freaks. They're not as good as the
ones you buy in good candy stores, but they're still yummy.
IH "makes 2 dozen"
IG "4 cups" "powdered sugar" "500 g"
IG "8 oz" "cream cheese" "250 g"
(one large package or 3 small packages less a nibble)
IG "1 tsp" "vanilla extract" "5 ml"
IG "5 oz" "unsweetened chocolate" "150 g"
IG "" "assorted toppings (cocoa, powdered sugar, crushed nuts, jimmies, etc.)
PH
SK 1
Mix the powdered sugar into the softened cream cheese a little
at a time, making sure it is well blended after every
addition.
SK 2
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler and add it to the cream cheese
mixture along with the vanilla. Mix well.
SK 3
Chill for a couple hours. Roll mix into
AB "one-inch" "2-cm"
balls, then roll them in a topping. Chill.
NX
If you're adventurous, try substituting the liqueur of your choice for the
vanilla.
