This is the meatloaf my mother makes. Where she got the recipe, who
knows? Probably from \fIher\fR mother.... I think it's
the best meatloaf in the world (and I'm sure you think \fIyour\fR
meatloaf is the best!).
IH "Serves 6"
IG "1 cup" "bread crumbs" "120 g"
IG "\(34 cup" "minced onion" "150 g"
IG "\(14 tsp" "garlic powder" "1 ml"
IG "2" "eggs"
(slightly beaten)
IG "2 lbs" "ground meat" "1 kg"
(I often use a combination of beef and lamb)
IG "2 Tbsp" "horseradish" "30 ml"
IG "pinch" "salt" "0.5 ml"
IG "\(14 cup" "milk or water" "60 ml"
IG "1 Tbsp" "dry mustard" "15 ml"
IG "\(34 cup" "catsup" "200 ml"

Combine all ingredients except for
AB "\(12 cup" "150 ml"
of the catsup. Place into a loaf pan, or shape into a loaf on a baking
sheet. Spread the reserved catsup on top of the loaf.

for 40 minutes.
