         Differences between Recommendation X.226 and
                ISO International Standard 8823


I.1    Recommendation X.226 contains no statement concerning  the  relative
precedence of any section or annex. ISO/IEC JTC 1 has indicated its intention
to add a statement, prior to publication of ISO 8823, concerning precedence.
