BANANA TEA BREAD                       Servings:

3 1/4 c.      flour                    2/3 c.    sugar
2   tsp.      baking powder            2         eggs
1/4 tsp.      soda                     1   c.    mashed bananas (2-3)
1/2 tsp.      salt                     1/4 c.    shortening
1/2 c.        chopped nuts

   Sift flour, baking powder, soda, salt and sugar together.  Add nuts.
Add unbeaten eggs, mashed bananas and shortening, and stir lightly.  Pour
batter into a greased, dusted-with-flour, loaf pan.  Bake at 350F for 1
hour.  Cool before slicing.
