Joan D Vinge's best work is "The Snow Queen". The Hugo winner is a
wonderful mixture of mythology and hard SF. I also like "Psion", which
reads like a good Andre Norton juvenile. The sequel "Catspaw" is much more
mature. Lately she's been writing lots of movie novelizations; which,
while they pay the bills, are hardly high art.
[C] == Short Story Collection.
[J] == The book is for juveniles (however you define them)
[O] == Omnibus. Includes other books.
