Unlike most of the authors I've done, all of John Varley's books were
readily available to everyone (no obscure publishers, although I don't know
which of his books are in print right now). I find John Varley's greatest
strengths are in his short stories. "The Persistence of Vision" and "Blue
Champagne" are truly wonderful. His other works aren't too shabby either.
