Julian May writes for a cast of thousands. Her stories have scope. Her
first series dealt with galactic civilazations, time travel, alien
invasions of the earth, and psychic powers in all varieties. I think that
the vast number of characters got away from her towards the end of her
first series (what were the dozen main characters doing at the end?), but
she seems to have gotten this under control with her most recent work. Be
warned that her stories do take time start, so give them more than 50 pages
to grab you.
[O] == Omnibus. Includes other books.
