TO THE HONORABLE LANCE A. ITO, DEPARTMENT 103, LOS ANGELES
SUPERIOR COURT, STATE OF CALIFORNIA:

I, SHAWN SNIDER CHAPMAN, declare as follows:

1. I am an attorney of record for the defendant in this action,
ORENTHAL JAMES SIMPSON, whose trial is now pending in the
above-referenced court.

2. MARCUS ALLEN, who resides at 433 Ward Parkway, Kansas City,
Missouri 64112, is a necessary and material witness for the
defendant in the above-entitled case for the following reasons: A
few weeks before Mr. Allen's marriage in 1993, he admitted to Mr.
Simpson that he had been sexually intimate with Nicole Brown
Simpson. In spite of this, Mr. Simpson opened his home to Mr.
Allen, allowing him to use Mr. Simpson's Rockingham Avenue home
for his wedding.

3. The presence of this witness is required for approximately
three days, commencing on July 10, 1995.

4. The laws of the State of California will give to the witness
protection from arrest and service of civil and criminal process
during the time that the witness is in California in obedience of
the Subpoena directing him to appear and testify in this State,
with respect to matters that occurred before the witness'
entrance into the State of California. (Penal Code Section
1334.4.)

Therefore, it is requested that this Court issue a Certificate
under seal of the Superior Court of the State of California for
the County of Los Angeles in order that it may be presented to
the proper Court in the State of Missouri for the purpose
compelling the attendance of MARCUS ALLEN at the trial of the
above-entitled cause.

I DECLARE under penalty of perjury that the foregoing is true and
correct.

CERTIFICATE OF MATERIALITY AND NECESSITY OF OUT-OF-STATE WITNESS

1. There is pending in the Superior Court of the State of
California, County of Los Angles, a court of record in
California, a criminal prosecution entitled People of the State
of California v. Orenthal James Simpson, case number BA097211.

2. The State of Missouri has made provisions for commanding
persons within its borders to attend and testify in criminal
prosecutions within the State of California.

3. The Court has, by judicial notice of its own files and by the
Declaration of Shawn Snider Chapman, County of Los Angles, State
of California, determined that the following person is a material
witness in the pending  is a material witness in the pending
prosecution in a court of record in this state:

4. This witness will be required for approximately three court
days.

5. This Court will order the payment of witness fees authorized
by law for each day the witness is required to appear before the
Court, plus reimbursement for any additional expenses of the
witness which in the judgment of the Court is found reasonable
and necessary.

ORDER

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the above-named material witness appear
before this Court in the time and place described in the attached
subpoena to wit July 10, 1995 at 9:00 a.m. in Department 103 of
the Superior Court of the State of California, County of Los
Angeles, 210 West Temple Street, Los Angeles, 90012/
