to help beginners get started
with text editing.

it does discuss enough for most users'
day-to-day needs.

printing, appending, changing, deleting, moving and inserting entire lines of text;
reading and writing files;
context searching and line addressing;
the substitute command;
the global commands;
and the use of special characters for advanced editing.
