SPECIAL FEATURES

As most of us are aware, the telephone company offers
special features, among the most popular are:

                  1)  Call Forwarding
                  2)  Tele-Conferencing
                  3)  Call Waiting

What many people do not know is that these features are
set up in a hierarchial manner (The order listed).
Therefore, if you are one of the many users who has tried
call waiting but have been unable to de-activate it when
using your computer during a communications session then you
might be interested in trying Call Forwarding.

Call Forwarding will allow the user to forward all
incoming calls to a pre-determined number such as a friends
house or a relative, or if your incomming calls are too
numerous for others to bother with, then I suggest you look
up the local number for Time & Temperature and send your
        calls there.

Call Forwarding is activated by pressing *72, wait for a
dial tone and then dial the number you want to recieve all
your incomming calls.  Once activated all incomming calls
will be forwarded to the new number until de-activated with
        the disabling code of *73.

Call Forwarding is superior to the widely publicized
code of *70 - which has been suggested for disabling Call
Waiting. The disadvantage with *70 is that with *70, it must
be pressed for each call you wish to have the Call Waiting
feature disabled.  If you are unable to make contact with
your local BBS because its busy, then this can be a rather
tiresome and bothersome routine.  Once activated Call
Forwarding, will forward all incoming calls until
        deactivated.

Hope this tip will prove helpful to those who have Call
Waiting, but are unable to deactivate this feature when using
the computer to access Bulletin Boards.
