Again, there is topic so popular on phlogosphere, I won't give links
to all relevant posts, because the list would be probably longer than
the rest of my post. That topic is "every day carry" - in other words,
what people usually have in their bags.
For me, that's really short list. I have a small shoulder bag from
Vaude, dimensions c.a. 7"x 5" (17 x 13 cm) with two pockets and that
sets limit my EDC quite strictly:
- Google Nexus 7 (with QWERTY BT keyboard case)
- cell phone (Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A at the moment)
- Sinclair Cardsharp (probably cheap rip-off)
- ballpoint pen (just our corporate with big Generali logo)
- black permanent marker
- my geocoin (CR0BDY if you are into geocaching and want to track it)
- headphones (Philips SH6000/10)
- wallet
- keys with 16GB USB thumb drive attached
That's all. Except for the first three, the list hasn't changed for
years, most probably it's the same stuff since 2010 or even longer.
For the same time period I tried to pick a pocket knife, but I haven't
found any that I would like enough to buy it. So when I found Sinclair
Cardsharp on local flea market for $2, I bought it to have something
for emergency situations and my search for primary knife still
continues.
And of course there is some kind of wristwatch on my wrist every day
and last few weeks even Xiaomi MiBand 1s to tell me I'm not moving
enough, but I'm not sure whether add them to my EDC, as they are not
in a bag, but on me myself.
