Here you will find a native (AHCI) SATA driver for CD-ROMs, published in
2008 by Hewlett-Packard. It originally comes from Intel, apparently HP only
packaged it. Its license is very restrictive, but it's better than nothing I
guess. It's also hard to tell whether the license relates to the driver
itself (AHCI.SYS), or the SP39596 package built around it, or both.
The original package, as published by Hewlett-Packard, is named SP39596.EXE.
It is a Win32 executable that extracts files, and allows to create a boot
floppy. Since I am interested only in the ACHI CD-ROM driver it comes with,
I provide here also an archive containing only the files related to that.
