THE LIFE ROSARY - THE POWER OF PRAYER
The rosary, a meditation on the life of Our Lord and
His Blessed Mother, has been a powerful instrument of
prayer down through the centuries. The meditation
series used in this pamphlet focuses on the need to
pray to end abortion at the abortion clinics in our
state, our country and throughout the world.
Countless testimonies have been recorded of babies
saved at abortion mills due to the presence of people
reciting the rosary at the location.
One woman reported to a pro-life counselor months
later that she had approached an abortion mill in
Phoenix, Arizona, determined to have an abortion. She
was in the second trimester of her pregnancy. As she
crossed the sidewalk, approaching the killing door,
she felt her baby kick within her womb. She looked up
at the same moment to witness an older woman walking up
and down, praying the rosary. She later told the pro-
life counselor that at that moment she knew what she
was about to do was wrong. She left the clinic and
went home. She chose to keep and love the precious
life God had given to her.
As we pray the rosary in front of a killing mill, we
might never know that our presence helped a mother
choose life, but babies are saved every day by
this faithful prayer to God.

THE LIFE ROSARY
Christ's walk to Calvary to save us.
In following Our Lord's example of love for all people,
we walk and pray to save the lives of precious,
innocent babies! We recite the following prayer
before we begin the rosary in front of the abortion
mill.
-------------------------------------------------------
"They have pierced my hands and my feet; I can count
all my bones" (Ps. 22:17-18)
-------------------------------------------------------
Father, I come to this place as to a new Calvary. I
wish to stand here with Mary and those others who stood
by the cross of Jesus the day He sacrificed
Himself for us sinners.
I firmly believe the sorrowful scene before my eyes is
nothing less than a re-enactment of Jesus' suffering
and death, already anticipated in the massacre of the
Innocents of Bethlehem and repeated in the slaughter of
these least brethren of His, the tiny children brought
here today for
killing.
O Father, I realize that I cannot stop the killing
of most of these children, any more than Mary could
have the slaying of her child that day. I unite my
heart with hers in faith and grieving love and humbly
adore Your divine purpose in allowing such bloodshed.
I offer you the blood of Jesus and, mingled with it,
the blood of these little ones, the abortionists and
our whole society. Please remember Jesus' own prayer
from the Cross with its echo in Mary's heart: "Father,
forgive them for they know not what they
do."
But perhaps the hour has not yet come for some of
them. Once You told Joseph to take the Child and His
mother far from those seeking the Child's life. I
offer myself to You as Saint Joseph's helper, ready to
do everything I can for my beloved Jesus and Mary in
the person of any child and mother
You entrust to my care.
Dear Father, accept my prayer in the name of Jesus.
Amen.

The Joyful Mysteries
-------------------------------------------------------
Annunciation
May all mankind respond to the grace of God. We pray
we will always accept the will of God as Mary accepted
the will of God, in faith and obedience. We ask that
all expectant women be able to feel the peace and love
of Our Lord and accept the new life within them.
Visitation
May we always respond to mothers and mothers-to-be in
love and faith as Mary did when she went to help
Elizabeth, who also was with child. May our example of
love by our presence here encourage women to choose
life.
Birth of Christ
We pray that we always see the infant Jesus in every
child to be born, and that every woman approaching an
abortion clinic will feel your love, Lord and choose
life. From the time Jesus began His journey on earth to
the day He gave His life for our salvation, He
showed us how to pray and love others. May we be
there for expectant mothers in their time of need with
prayer and love, as St. Joseph protected Mary.
Presentation
As Mary and Joseph showed obedience to Jewish law,
let us be obedient to God's law and always respect
life at every stage. Give us the strength to
speak out in defense of these small babies about to be
aborted.
Finding the Child Jesus in the Temple
As Mary and Joseph rejoiced after finding Jesus in
the Temple, let those who have been lost to God be
found. Lord, even as a small boy, You showed us that
we too must be about Our Father's business. We pray we
will always be willing to help those who have become
lost.
-------------------------------------------------------
THE SORROWFUL MYSTERIES
-------------------------------------------------------
The Agony In the Garden
"Could you not watch one hour with Me?" Our Lord asked
of his apostles in the garden. Give us the strength to
watch and pray one hour for those about to die. Let
our presence here give mothers the strength to choose
God, and choose life.
The Scourging At the Pillar
As Christ was scourged , His skin was torn. The pain
was like a thousand knives. How like the pain of an
abortion. By Your suffering, Lord, we ask that these
babies be saved from a terrible death. Let all mothers
feel the love You have for each of them.
The Crowning With Thorns
As the soldiers mocked You and crowned You with
thorns, You loved them. Give us the strength and
wisdom, Lord, to follow Your example. Let us not fear
what others say. Let us follow only Your word. Let us
love and care for all people. We ask for an increase of
the gifts of humility and
spiritual courage.
The Carrying of the Cross
May all mothers know that no matter how heavy their
cross seems to be, that You are there Lord, helping
them carry it. We pray that every mother knows that as
You fell three times, You are there for them, when they
fall. You will lift them into Your arms. You are there
with each child carried in the
womb.
The Crucifixion
Lord, we ask to always remember Your words, "Father,
forgive them for they know not what they do." Give us
the grace to pray for those who reject You. Let us
never turn away from those in the abortion industry.
Let us be Your disciples and pray for their conversion
as well as our own.
-------------------------------------------------------
THE GLORIOUS MYSTERIES
-------------------------------------------------------
The Resurrection
Lord, You are the Resurrection and the Life. After
Your agonizing death on the cross, You rose on Easter
Sunday. You spoke to Mary with such love and
tenderness. We pray that the women going into this
abortion clinic feel the same love and tenderness from
us. Let every mother carry Your words in her
heart. "Peace be with you...Be not afraid."
The Ascension
As we follow the example of Our Lord each day, we
hear His words, "Know that I am with you always, even
to the end of the world." We pray that we will always
have the courage to be His disciples and show His love
for all people by standing here in defense of life. We
pray that all mothers feel the presence and strength of
Our Lord each day.
The Descent of the Holy Spirit
Give us strength and courage, O Holy Spirit, to follow
the example of the apostles. Though they were fearful,
You filled them with faith and courage. Jesus, through
Mary, the spouse of the Holy Spirit, we pray for a new
Pentecost today, that all mothers will be filled with
the fire of Your love and the faith to accept Your
Will.
The Assumption
Most chaste and gentle Mother, be always our model for
purity and humility. Mary, most pure and gentle virgin,
let us desire only the will of the Father. Help us not
to seek rewards on this earth for Heaven is the
greatest reward. We seek only to dwell in the house of
the Lord, all the days of our life.
The Coronation
We join Our Lady in prayer, as She and all the
angels praise God continually. "A great sign appeared
in the sky, a woman clothed in the Sun, with the moon
at her feet, on her head a crown with twelve stars. She
will crush the head of the serpent."

PRAYERS OF THE ROSARY
-------------------------------------------------------
The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of
heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son,
Our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of
the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was
crucified, died and was buried. He descended into
hell; the third day He arose again from the dead; He
ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of
God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to
judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy
Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of
saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of
the body, and life
everlasting. Amen.
The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name;
Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in
heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive
us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass
against us; and lead us not into temptation, but
deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace! The Lord is with thee;
blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the
fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of
God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our
death. Amen.
Glory Be to the Father
Glory be to the Father, the Son and to the Holy
Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever
shall be, world without end . Amen.
O, My Jesus
O, my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the
fires of hell and lead all souls to heaven,
especially those most in need of Thy mercy.
PRAYERS FOLLOWING ROSARY
HAIL, HOLY QUEEN
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our
sweetness and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor
banished children of Eve; to thee do we send up our
sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
Turn then, O most gracious advocate, your eyes of
mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto
us; the Blessed Fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O
loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
V. Pray for us O Holy Mother of God
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of
Christ. Amen.
MEMORARE
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was
it known that anyone who fled to your protection,
implored your help or sought your intercession, was
left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, we fly to
you, O Virgin of virgins, our Mother; to you we come;
before you we stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of
the Word Incarnate, despise not our petitions, but in
your clemency hear and answer them. Amen.
PRAYER TO ST. MICHAEL
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in the day of
battle; be our safeguard against the wickedness and
snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly
pray, and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by
the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the
other evil spirits, who prowl the
world, seeking the ruin of souls, Amen.
Prayer of Intercession
Thank you, Lord, that I am fearfully, wonderfully
made. Seek out, Lord, those women who are considering
ending their children's lives. Lead them out of their
confusion. Assist them in their time of doubt.
Overpower the evil influences that beckon to them. May
the beating human heart, deep within her womb, reach
that mother's awareness, and persuade her to accept
the challenge and gift of life, her child has been
given by God. Blessed are You, O Lord, the One Who
creates life, sustains life, and redeems life.
Amen.
