On SDF and Public Access Unix

I just read solderpunk's excellent phlog post regarding his experiences
with SDF.org, a seemingly wonderful service that's been around for a long
time.

I was actually pleasantly surprised to see someone who shares the same
opinion I do of the crew at SDF: They're not good people.

SDF is full of self-absorbed assholes.  I left a few years ago after dealing
one time too many with people who think that basic courtesy and decency is
too much trouble.

I guess there are enough people like that in the world to keep them chugging
along.  Good for them.  But I'd rather share time and resources with some
halfway decent human beings.
