Diesel Vibrations
I was strongly considering getting the diesel, but I got
the gas one instead.
One of the four reasons I didn't get the diesel was
the vibration.  I rolled up to a stop light AFTER a test drive of 16 km,
and saw the steering wheel vibrate with a displacement of 2 cm,
which was not for me; it was just as bad when I began the drive.
This was a demonstrator, mind you, with a pushy salesman next to me.

You might try adjusting the idle frequency so that it doesn't
resonate with the steering wheel's natural frequencys.

The other three reasons were:
1) smell
2) my perceived ability to maintain the diesel engine
3) availability of fuel when out in the desert boonies of CA/NV/UT
