Ven-Tel 212 * & # digits
I recently purchased two Ven-tel 212+ auto-dial modems, and
discovered that they cannot dial touch tone * or #.  Calling the
factory was no help, although they admitted that it was a software,
not a hardware, limitation.

Has anyone investigated this problem and found a solution?
I can't say I'm particularly looking forward to disassembling their EPROM
and patching the program.
