Re: Greg Noel Hack Sites
From: Michael Muuss <MIKE@BMD70>
Howard -
The only problem we have been running into with people using
the "Greg Noel Hack" is not on our end, but instead from the other end,
where people have used Host 3/29 as the low numbered synonym for some
high numbered site. Those sites reject all communications with the real
host 3/29 (us), to prevent confusion internally on their end. What I am
suggesting is that the high numbered host that the G.N. Hack sites are
mapping onto 3/29 should instead be mapped onto 1/29, so that my host
3/29 can talk to everybody. Sites that had this trouble
include NPRDC and UDEL (UDEL has just recently fixed their system).
For those of you who have not heard of us, we are
HOST BRL-BMD, 3/29,SERVER,UNIX,PDP11,[BMD70]
