Re: shuttle engine blowup?
I posted something about this a few weeks ago, when it happened.
The story is that engineers were making a test of a shuttle main
engine at 109% thrust for 500 seconds (the Columbia never went
past 100% I believe).  After 323 (I think, but I'm not sure)
seconds, it blew to pieces.  NASA does not expect this to affect
the launch timetable.
