re:Polls and national spending

During a recent interview Ben Bova (editor of OMNI mag.) quoted an
interesting statistic. Last year NASA spent 6.6 billion dollars. Sounds like
a lot eh (excuse my Canadian accent).
That number is only 75% the amount spent by Americans on Pizza last year.
There must be some pretty good pizza parlors down there.
My question for those survey types is this.
Why don't you ask Americans these two questions:

              "Do you like Pizza?"

"Do you think America is spending:  -too much..
-too little..  or -just enough.. on Pizza?"

...and leave us alone who are doing something even somewhat useful with
taxpayers money?

Before I receive a bombardment of mail from the states saying, "Why are
you (a Canadian) making comments like that about American national spending?",
I wish to say that the same sort of stuff happens here in Canada also, i.e.
we spent over 100 million dollars for the Canadarm which some poeple get
uptight about.
