Re: Source of hydrogen
Instead of recombining your nice near-pure hydrogen with some hydrogen-liking
compound for shipment, why not just liquify it? It can get nice and cold on the
moon already...you wouldn't need much more air-conditioning, and if
pressurization is the problem suggestions (1) and especially (2) can be
easily modified to provide the extra pressure.
This way you don't have to cart your HL (hydrogen-lover) around to the
'mining' site and you don't have to ship its excess weight about either.
On top of this you can ship the stuff out to the L5 colonies without
their needing to process it any further. In this way you can help strengthen
the lunar industrial base, weakening that of the colonies, leading
eventually to an orbital uprising.....(maybe I should switch over to
fa.sf-lovers???).
