Shuttle News
Major General James A. Abrahamson, shuttle project director
today gave George Page, shuttle launch director, the orders
to commence the countdown for STS-3 on time -- at 0400 EST
Thursday.  However, shortly after that, NASA announced that
Rogers Dry Lake would not be ready for a 29 March landing.
Ruling out landing on the 15,000 foot strip at the Cape until
the fifth mission, NASA must now decide whether to land at
White Sands or to delay the launch (or hope that Rogers does
in fact dry out).
