Rain...
Rain, rain, rain, and more on Friday.  The northeast sure is getting
its share right now.  The heaviest rains missed the slopes of
Vermont ski areas.  An inch of snow (real snow) fell last night at
Killington's summit while it rained elsewhere.  At 4:30 Thursday afternoon
the temp was 32 at the base and 24 at the summit.  The forecast
for the New England Mountains this weekend is for colder temperatures
with snow accumulations on Saturday & Saturday night.  This includes
the mountains of Vermont, the Berkshires of Mass, and the Adirondacks
in New York. No amounts were specified.  Sunday could shape
up to be a half-decent day.  The lift ticket price at Killington this
past week was $5, and will probably go up to $10 by Sunday.  Presently
they have limited skiing on the upper mountain slopes with two lifts.

I'm headed up there this Sunday and will keep you informed.
