       Pronunciation: pear-i-bowl-i, first "i" short, second long.

       Transliteration of Greek verb "to throw around" or "to net".

       Advantages:
               The name is distinctive.
               Conflicts with nothing so far as I know.
               Is device-independent.
               In keeping with Unix tradition, the name is meaningful,
                       but only to those who read this submission or
                       know someone who has read it.
               Your immediate superior will have to ask YOU what it
                       refers to, thereby demonstrating your expertise,
                       increasing your value to him or her, etc.
